RMU Truckee is a Mountain Culture Company founded in 2008, building skis in a garage for 30 packs of beer. Our Truckee ski shop at 10292 Donner Pass Road sells award-winning RMU Skis and carries the complete line of RMU products. We’re a retail shop, demo center, and bar serving as Truckee’s outdoor culture hub. Host to community events, bike rides, and gatherings. Winter: Full demo fleet of RMU Skis available for testing before you buy. Summer: MTB equipment and demo bike rentals. Stop in to shop for new RMU skis, test our gear, or enjoy our bar and restaurant with craft beer and local wine.

Absolutely love this mountain ski bar!
The burgers here are incredible — truly top quality. My husband makes amazing burgers himself (it’s our signature dish, and we even have our own YouTube and page), so we know good burgers when we taste them — and these are excellent. The duck-fat fries are next level and absolutely unforgettable. Add the stunning mountain views and the cool, vibrant atmosphere, and this place becomes a must-visit. This is my favorite spot, and we’ll definitely be coming back again!

Absolutely loved the burger here. We split a burger and duck fat fries, which was the right move. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the fries were delicious as well.
Perfect for after a hike, right in the center of downtown Truckee. Great environment to hang out and have a casual meal. Huge fan of this spot, would recommend!

Crazy place. Jam Packed, live music, great food and quite the vibe. Even though it was hard to find a place to sit and eat the energy in the place was unlike anything I have experience in awhile. The burger was epic, Nashville Chicken Sandwich not spicy enough and grilled cheese was crispy. Love music seemed to be high schoolers performing with all their family their to support them. Truly a local place.

I really want to love this place, but, the understaffing and lack of space is a serious problem. It shouldn’t take me 40 minutes to get a Bloody Mary during their Sunday special (with only one bartender working and taking food orders), and another 40 minutes to get the silly little slider that’s supposed to go on top of the carnivore Bloody Mary. My slider came out when i was already done with my drink…I will give credit to the duck fat fries, the only overpriced item on the menu I’ll enjoy and actually come back for. You guys need to figure out your efficiency on the days you have specials.

The Smash Burger & The Shrimp Po Boy were so good! The Cajun seasoning on the shrimp was perfect- honestly the best Shrimp Po Boy I’ve had in years! The bartender was super friendly and made a great Aperol Spritz. They’ve got NA beers and mocktails too if you’re not a drinker.

The duck fries are delicious and absolutely worth the $2 upgrade. It also has the plus of additional garlic flavor.
We tried Nashville chicken sandwich twice and unfortunately both times it was a miss. The chicken is super thin and there are even sections where you just get a mouthful of bread.
The smashburger is good though. I like that the bread is glazed.

Very cool spot. We sat at the bar during their happy hour. Really good drinks, food, and the staff and locals are very friendly. A must stop if you’re in the downtown area!
