First time here. We had dinner down the street and decided that we needed to have some ice cream for dessert. We were on our way to “The Chocolate Factory”, and then saw a sign for RJ’s. Decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed.
RJ’s is not on the street, but tucked away in the Mill Place building, which holds other businesses. It has a few tables on the outside patio and more seating inside. Inside, you’ll first notice a brightly colored area displaying different candies. The ice cream counter is toward the rear of the store. They serve Cedar Crest ice cream. Not a large collection, but we found some of our favorites.
Got a friendly greeting from the young woman behind the counter. We got a mix of different items. I got a double scoop in a sugar cone, and others got a hot fudge sundae and a Cream Soda Float (Sprecher brand).
While with limited ice cream selection, it was a very good experience.

Such a cute shop! They had a great variety of flavors and options to choose from. Their cookie dough ice cream has become a new favorite!!! It’s the ice cream of my dreams! The candy section was also phenomenal. We had so much fun browsing the selection and picking up candies that were completely new to us! Staff was friendly and the owner was super kind and welcoming. Definitely coming back soon!

I may be biased because I have the pleasure of living in Elm Grove, but in my opinion, RJ’s is the perfect, small town, quintessential ice cream parlor and candy store. You are greeted by either the lovely owner, or the young, local employees she takes time to mentor. We are so lucky to have this small town business within walking distance from our house. Great ice cream. Great customer service. Great place!

RJ’s is our favorite ice cream place! We bike here in the summers frequently. The kids LOVE the candy section obviously and it’s super cute inside. There’s nice seating both inside and outside and it’s never overly packed. There’s also a cute little bridge that the kids always enjoy going over because they get to see the fish.

I took my grandchildren to RJ’s yesterday and found the most delightful little ice cream and candy shop. Lots of kids had ridden their bikes there, others with family, all enjoying the space. Cute little outside sitting area and nicely displayed old fashioned candy favorites. The person scooping ice cream was super friendly, talking directly to each child while taking the orders. Definitely a fun place to visit in the Grove!!

Super cute place. Met the owner, who is very sweet and attentive to customers. Nice atmosphere and unique flavors. Key lime pie flavor is OP. Good prices and sizes too, compared to places around. Will be coming back!
