So I was real excited to try this place after my grandmother tried it and said it was good. Well unfortunately today, I was highly disappointed. I purchased 1 large and 1 medium corned beef sandwich and they were basically inedible. They were full of fat all throughout. As a corned beef sandwich lover I know you can’t avoid some fat in your corned beef but this was a mouthful of fat in every bite. Good side of things the meat was very flavorful and not dry like some places.

This place came highly recommend on Facebook. I was in the area and stopped. The cornbeef was perfectly seasoned. It was so tender and delicious. The owner is such a nice person . I was able to taste his secret recipe for sweet and sour sauerkraut. It was fabulous! Not to sweet and not to biting, just perfect. The potatoe salad and macaroni salad tasted like an old family recipe. Dont forget the soup! It too was very delicious! I highly recommend a visit if want to have a wonderful taste experience!! A big surprise….Detroit Better made products and Fago Soda and who can forget Vernors!!

We finally checked out RJ’s Corned Beef Deli in Clinton Twp and wow—this place did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the guys working were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were also super knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through the menu, which we really appreciated.
We were even offered samples of their house-made sauerkraut and soup—both were delicious and such a nice touch. The meat was fresh, perfectly thin-sliced, and packed with flavor, exactly how corned beef should be. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
Great food, great service, and an overall awesome experience. We will definitely be back. Thanks to whoever recommended RJ’s—so glad we listened!

My husband stopped in today for the first time, and he brought me home a sub and soup. The beef barley soup was delicious! It’s not often you find places that make homemade soup. The delicious sub was great too! The dressing for the sub was top-notch too, again homemade not a prebought packet. My husband said the owner made the sub and was extremely friendly. My husband got a corned beef and pastrami sandwich and loved it too. We will be back.

My first impression was the friendly welcoming of everyone then the delicious smell. This restaurant is SPOTLESSLY clean! It was interesting to see the welcoming atmosphere to everyone- honestly their energy to everyone who came in was like an old friend. There was even a man celebrating his birthday and they sang a quick Happy Birthday. Compassionate and caring!!
I haven’t even mentioned how delicious the food is! My partner had the small corned beef sandwich- this is not your usual small- it was huge! He said it is outstanding and the best he’s had ever had. I had the roasted chicken salad sub and it is exceptional- the perfect blend of flavors!
I again have to mention the positive energy of RJ and everyone- they enjoy what they do and it reflects in the high quality of their food and a successful business.

Stopped in this morning for corned beef but it wasn’t quite ready yet. We came back a couple hours later and the staff instantly recognized us and welcomed us back. Waited just a few minutes and were treated with tons of samples since it was our first time! Could not ask for better food or service. They are clearly passionate about what they do and it shows. 🙂

Great hidden gem! I’ve been looking for a good corned beef sandwich for a while. The meat was super tasty with a great texture and taste. A good friend recommended Rj’s. He promised if I didn’t like it, he would give me my money back. Let’s just say , he didn’t have to lose any money. I was completely satisfied with the juicy taste of the meat. I only gave it 4 stars because the sandwich is a bit costly for the size. If the sandwich was bigger at $18 a pop , I would have rated them a 10 out of 5 stars.

I had the Lozen’s Rueben sandwich and a Faygo. It was so good!! The corned beef is fresh sliced and you can tell, we will definitely be back. The guys working there and owner were all so friendly and gave us samples of the sauerkraut and their beef and barley soup. I’ve never had sauerkraut like this before, it’s sweet and Smokey, pretty sure they make it themselves. And my friend said the soup reminded her of how her mom used to make it. Definitely going to be stopping in here more often!

RJ’s is absolutely outstanding, and I can’t recommend it enough! The quality of ingredients they use is top-notch, and the deli meats are incredibly tender—literally melt in your mouth. My go-to is the pastrami, but I’ve also tried the corned beef, and both are phenomenal. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the store itself is clean, welcoming, and well-kept. I’m a huge fan of RJ’s and will definitely be stopping by more often in the future!
