Kaitlyn was an amazing waitress with great recommendations. Wife had a great burger. I had appetizer order of gator bites and a side salad, which was huge. Ended up taking home some gator bites for later snack!

This place is a nice laid back restaurant. Have outdoor seating right next to the pier. Didn’t see any gators but I did eat some. Everything about this place was good. They have quite a few sections, but I chose the gator bites, which is very good, and the haddock filet, and pollock fingers. Cooked and eaten to perfection!!!!!!

We were seated right away even though the place was packed. This seem to be the Go To place for the locals. We had a great view of the water. The Live Music made for a great time. This place offers a wide variety of Beers and Mix drinks.

This experience went better than the last time we were there. Our server was attentive and our orders were accurate. Food was cooked properly and tasted good and lunch specials are a good value. One thing to note is that on the pick 2 option you get to pick one thing from column A and one thing from column B and the column A stuff is all in up charge except for one item. I figure if you’re going to give people some choices at least give them more than one that they don’t have to pay extra for. That being said, the quesadilla was good and Hardy and filled with lots of chicken. The she crab soup was good and filling.
The restaurant was a little bit chilly but I prefer that to be in hot and humid. We sat inside since outdoor seating on the high tops is just a little bit tight in my opinion and music was playing when we left and it was a little bit loud and the high tops are very close to the performer. But the biggest reason that I didn’t want to sit outside was most of the tables had some of the chairs in the sun and it was a little too hot and sunny and people smoke out there. And with tables that close together, there’s no way I would enjoy food with people smoking. Unlike Illinois, Florida has not yet adopted that you can’t smoke within so many feet of outdoor dining. That’s a shame because a nicer weather we would prefer to sit out there. All in all it was a good experience and we are likely to go back.

Fun place. Sits on the edge of Lake Sumter. The patio is sunny and there is a bar out front. We did not have to wait at all. The service was really great – very friendly and quick. We parked on the street and it was during the day so there were lots of people out. There also is a lot across from the restaurant. The menu had lots to pick from and the atmosphere is down home and really cute. Our bartender had great suggestions – had the allagator (this was my first time) it tasted good which suprised me. Well priced too.

I haven’t been to RJ Gators in 20 years. So when I saw this one , I had to take advantage of it. We got seated and not attended to for 7 mins till Faith noticed and took care of us. Smiles friendly and great service. We started off with drinks, Gator Island, and a gatorita. We started with Gator tail and was crunchy and tasty. It was a great crispy crust to the batter. Dinner was the colossal halibut same style breading as the gator tail , almost schnitzel like. Fish was amazing, not dry and flavorful with a great crunch. Also tried the boom boom shrimp great flavor and crunch.
Not only that little scenic boat tour and amazing views of the sun setting.
