I ordered $52 worth of food. The quality of it was worth $5. Would never recommend this place. I got the $35 meat sampler. All of the meat on it sucked. The only flavor was the BBQ sauce. It’s like they just put the meat in an oven and that’s it. They somehow messed up the Mac and cheese. It was bland. Amazing how that can be done. I ordered take out and I was told 30-40 minutes. I had to wait closer to 55 and it wasnt ready when i got there. The staff wasn’t terrible but not the best. Overall they have a lot to improve on if they want to stay in business. I have told many people to never go there and from my experience there isn’t a good thing I could say about the places food. I have never left a bad review before either. Just amazingly bad Quality.

Great service and friendly. Awesome martinis although a bit pricey for this area. The brisket and pulled pork were cooked to perfection. Nice bark on brisket, juicy and delicious. Brisket is my favorite but I also enjoyed the pulled pork. I could eat both everyday. The ribs were not cooked long enough, the meat didn’t fall off the bone, they were dry and tough to eat. We cooked them more, low and slow and they were good. Sweet potato fries are really wedges and no added spices, mushy, not crispy. Beans were just beans, no added goodies like spices, peppers, onions, some type of meat (sausage, kielbasa, bacon, pork, etc.) I love cornbread, any way it’s cooked, it was good, not dry. I’m not a BBQ professional but I know what I like and would definitely go back.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately I had to wait 45 minutes for my takeout order to be ready, and it was a small order… Brisket was not good. It was tough, gristly, and lacked flavor. Mac and cheese was also not very good. BBQ chicken was excellent. Considering the premium price, the quality was just not up to snuff.

We just had dinner and it was amazing! They were 4 of us and together we ordered the fried chicken which was perfectly done and delicious, rack of ribs were a bit messy but fantastically cooked, the double brisket plate was so tender and my dad had the gumbo which I have to admit was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The portions are huge and we are definitely gonna have a meal for tomorrow as well. Definitely going back for more!

I like the idea of a bbq place in the area but I’m guessing I went during an off day. Our food was definitely not worth the $80+ we dished out.
The fried chicken was insanely dry, like it had been sitting around for quite a while; good flavor but not very chewable. The beans weren’t my liking which isn’t their fault. Mac n cheese didn’t have much flavor. The brisket and pork was pretty good though.
Might try them again and hopefully it’ll be up to par and more worth the money.

They must be hit or miss, as there are some positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

I ordered well over $100 worth of menu items to try for our first time, and we were so thrilled to have a BBQ restaurant come to town. The website and menu give off very chef-y vibes, so I was honestly shocked by the experience.

I was underwhelmed by the best dish we got (pork chops), and actually got a small, raw, blue sirloin steak when I had ordered and paid for a ribeye cooked medium, plus got regular mashed potatoes instead of the sweet potato as described in the menu. I was not informed of any necessary substitutions or offered any price adjustment. Sausage was drier than convenience store jerky, ribs were so tough they tore up our teeth, pulled pork looked and tasted like a clump of sawdust. Brisket was also bone dry and bland. 80% of the meat ended up getting eaten by wildlife, to which, even the raccoons left the driest bits. Loaded mashed potatoes came plain, not ” loaded”, mac and cheese was very sour and off-putting, grits were bland and overcooked.

Upon entry, I stood there watching a handful of dining patrons for a while before meandering over to the bar, where I noticed my food in plastic bags right there on the counter. It was another five to ten minutes until anyone even saw me or came by to ring me up.

All that said, I had lovely banter with the gentlemen that did end up checking me out, and the menu could potentially be thrilling if executed even just to a passable, mediocre degree. I give 2 stars here rather than 1 simply due to the potential. Per my experience, however, it would take a dramatic change in order to ever consider going there again.

It is not bbq first off. The staff would not help correct our order because they said it was busy.. We did not receive any sweet sauce with our order and the sides do not come with the meal and cost 5. each. We were charged for two sides and only got one. All the food was cold and the sausage was spicy and the meat just was salty with no other flavor. The nachos were small and had no bacon and barely any meat on them. I will not be going back because for 65. dollars would like better quality and a restaurant that actually has staff that are more helpful.

Just got home from our first visit to RJs. I am stuffed and everything I ate was very good. The pulled pork was my favorite, collard greens were good too. We were a party of 10 with kids, took a little extra time to get the food out but was worth the wait. I recommend RJ but have a little patience.

Fries were good but that’s about all. Quite overpriced I got the pulled pork sandwich which was dry but alright until I bit into a long hair. Their loaded fries seemed to be alright complete with cheese brisket and another add on hair! Quite disappointed
