The ranch dressing was some horrible bottle ranch. Ate one bite of my salad and gave it back. The chicken Alfredo was amazing. Made up for the bad ranch. Breadsticks were spectacular. The marinara was really good. My husband had spaghetti with Italian sausage. I ate his left overs for lunch. I don’t usually like spaghetti at restaurants but this one tasted even better the next day. Will definitely be back. I will just stay away from the salad. lol

Solid casual restaurant to get some Italian. My father really likes the pizza here. Food was pretty good in my opinion. We did have one big issue though, my wife found a piece of wire brush in her food yikes! I made our server aware. I’m going to treat this as an isolated incident. I do plan on returning because the food was good for sure.

First time having pizza I called in to pick up a large pie. I asked for New York style pizza. They said older pizzas was New York style. I got the basic large cheese pie. It was horrible. It had a bunch of oregano and some weird seasoning in it. they did the extra it wasn’t a normal original pizza. It was weird. Whoever is making these pizzas are doing a horrible job. They need to get somebody else to get taught how to make real Italian pizza.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Food is always super fresh and has great flavor. Our server was Chloe and she was great, very knowledgeable about the menu and great attitude! We love real Italian food and this place never disappoints! Couldn’t recommend it more to people who like real Italian! Truly 5 starts every time!

Just over the NC/SC border in Indian Land, about a 30-minute drive from Uptown Charlotte if traffic cooperates, Rizzo’s Spaghetti House feels like a trip back in time. This is the kind of American-Italian spot your parents took you to as a kid or where you’d end up with your teammates after a rec league game, still in uniform and riding a post-game high. It’s casual, affordable, and consistent, with friendly service that makes you feel at home.
The menu is exactly what you’d expect from a classic American-Italian restaurant: pasta, parmigiana, subs, and what they claim to be New York-style pizza. I didn’t try the pizza this time, but what I did have hit all the familiar comfort notes.
The complimentary breadsticks that come with an entrée order had a fluffy texture with a crisp bite, buttery and dusted with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. They were served with a piping hot side of marinara, which was mildly sweet with just the right amount of acidity. If you tend to get heartburn or reflux from overly tangy red sauces, this one is a safe bet.
The side salad was your standard garden mix of romaine, raw red onions, olives, and tomatoes, served with a ramekin of dressing. Nothing fancy, but it did the job as a fresh start to the meal.
For my main, I went with the Eggplant Parmigiana. It came with six medium-thickness rounds of eggplant, fried and baked, then smothered in their house-made marinara and topped with plenty of melted mozzarella. It was served with a small side of penne with sauce, and I was given the option to swap out the pasta type. The pasta itself was commercially made, not house-made, but it worked just fine.
Service was friendly and attentive. My waitress, Chloe, checked in regularly and made sure everything was to my liking.
The best part? My meal, including a drink, tax, and tip, came out to just over $20, making this an easy pick for a no-frills, budget-friendly dinner.
Would I drive 30 minutes just to eat here? Probably not. But if I were in the area and craving a comforting, nostalgic American-Italian meal, I’d stop in again, if not for the food, then for the familiar feeling of a place that reminds me of where my family used to eat when I was a kid.

Came here in the mid afternoon to try it for the first time. The waiter Julian was very kind and knowledgeable, and the restaurant was very clean. We had a 14″ pizza with onion, olives and mushrooms and a spaghetti with mushrooms dish. The spaghetti came with bread sticks and salad which were both excellent. The pizza was very good with a audibly crispy bottom, and the tomato sauce for the spaghetti was simple and packed with rich tomato flavor. I don’t typically buy spaghetti at Italian restaurants, as I can usually make better at home, but I think I’d struggle to top this tomato sauce. Highly recommend for small families or date night.

Great local pasta spot! They has a nice kids menu and the atmosphere is really family friendly. Most of us got the Veal Rizzo and it was really great. Definitely going to be going back to try out their pizza (a few pies walked past us and looked great).
