The food here is pretty good and priced relatively compared to the other nicer restaurants around San Clemente. The chilaquiles were really good and the avocado toast was great as well. The drinks were well made and decently priced. Our only concern/negative feedback would be the staffing. The people are great, kind and wonderful to be around. There were just a few moments where we had to wait a bit longer than necessary due to the bartender(the only one serving) was overwhelmed with the guests. To be fair, there were a couple of larger tables, but an additional server would have made this a 5 star experience. We will definitely be back!

Well to start, the website doesn’t work. The restaurant name changed AND their cuisine. Its now Mexican. They definitely need to update their menu on google. I had no option hut to eat there because i was in a massive rush, hence why i couldn’t even take photos of the menu myself to post.
But regardless they do have good food!
Oh and their happy hour is at 3pm, not 2pm.

Solid choice for brunch! We started with donuts which were good and took the edge off. Everyone loved their omelette’s and the homemade jams with whipped butter were a table favorite. My lobster Bennie was absolutely delicious and a favorite! I enjoyed the breakfast potatoes with peppers and onion. We got cappuccino’s flavors were good but temperature could be warmer, server was very busy. Service was good even though they were busy. Shanna does great job. Definitely need to return to try the pancake’s. Lovely ambiance I enjoyed the fresh flowers!

My family and friends had the opportunity to eat at Riviera in San Clemente located at the San Clemente inn on Thursday night. It was fabulous. What I loved about this place was the menu, something for everyone! Two of my party members were vegetarians and a couple of serious meat-eaters, and they all were extremely pleased!! The shareable choices were enough for the whole table to bite; we had the Brussel Sprouts, fresh Oysters, and incredible chicken dumplings!! I sampled the entree, Brunt scallops which I loved but had the House Burger (½ lb Chop steak, Blue Cheese, Onion mustarda, Apricot jam), was to die for!! The burger came medium rare without me even asking how to cook it, which was perfect!! Leave room in your tummy for the incredible desserts my favorite was the Blue Cheese cake, WOW!! Hats off to the chef Cody and the entire team for making this a wonderful experience.

Riviera has recently changed ownership, and the food is phenomenal! The restaurant is open 7 days a week now, and we’ll worth a visit. The pork chops are reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The chicken roulade and pulled pork sandwich are also very tasty. Try their tempura green beans appetizer for a great start. We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I were staying at the San Clemente Inn and were just too lazy to go out, so decided we’d try the in-house Riviera Restaurant.
In the past we’ve often found the restaurants within hotels to be very standard at best, and weren’t expecting much; well, the Riviera was an excellent exception!
I had a properly seared filet mignon with maybe the best bernaise sauce I’ve ever had. The filet was on top of some tasty mashed potato, and included a brocollini with crispy fried tops that was SO GOOD.
My picky wife ordered the salmon, and was super happy with its mild flavor, firm texture, and delicious, silvery, crispy skin the chef used as a presentation on top. She also loved the side vegetables.
We had the small plate of garlic grilled string beans with chili sauce to share along with the entres. Very flavorful and cooked to a perfect al dente.
Even though we normally don’t order dessert we were in the mood after such a nice meal, and had the peach cobbler with vanilla gelato. It wasn’t overly sweet and seemed to be from fresh peaches. An excellent finish to the meal.
Randi, our server, was really great. She paced everything perfectly, and had the friendly, competent presence of a professional, veteran waiter. 5 Stars!

Had the pleasure of trying out San Clementes latest restaurant. Dang this place was delicious. Tried a couple cocktails, some local craft beer, appetizers, bread plate and salad. Main plate was scallops and a chicken plate. Desert was the homemade ice cream with marshmallows.
Can’t wait to come back.

Was my first meal in San Clemente and definitely one of the best. Eclectic menu with several renditions of duck! The Chilaquiles de Canard was so well balanced (and so not your friend’s abuela’s chilaquiles): tender duck, cinnamony sweet mole with a little kick, fresh cilantro… what’s not to love? I got them with eggs over easy which I think was the right call. Service was also wonderful (shout out to my server Carol).
