This is your classic local Americanized Mexican food that you likely grew up with. Food was great with reasonable prices, and servers checked on us multiple times to see if we needed any refills, chips, etc. We will definitely be back.

Where the hell has this restaurant been all my life?
I’ve tried the Chilaquiles and I literally finished the plate. Great margaritas, beautiful atmosphere. It’s hard to find good Mexican restaurants in Minnesota, especially Hennepin County. Riviera doesn’t mess around.

Wow. I don’t know where to start. When visiting a restaurant, I usually have the server order for me. I was here in a party of 4, and after a 12 minute wait, everyone finally ordered. When asked to order something for me but not too spicy, Ivan grinned and repeated “not too spicy – ok?” and I concurred. 18 minutes later 3 dishes arrived for the other members of my party, while I waited. And waited. And waited. Nothing ever came. Service was very slow to begin with from what appeared to be understaffing, and by the time anyone came to check, the fellow diners were almost finished with their meals, thankfully sharing with me. Servers were sparse and hard to flag down. I asked for a Pepsi refill, and finally received a non-diet beverage. The chips were good, the lemon slice I asked for in my diet Pepsi came in my water, and there was a thick layer of dust on the door handle next to the booth we sat in. My friends ordered the Burrito Cancun, Burrito Ultra – huge and good – and the DeChuga Pollo, also good. See pics. The non-order just shows the table top and my glass……

We unintentionally went during chalk week, so they were very busy. It was clear they were pretty overwhelmed and the service and food quality were affected by that.
Complimentary chips and salsa to start. They were fine. Chips were salty. Salsa was meh.
Carne asada burrito was fine. Its basically just steak and grilled onions in a tortilla with cheese sauce on top.
California burrito was supposed to have fries inside but they weren’t there. We did say something and they brought a side of fries but they were cold once they arrived.
Shrimp ceviche was good. Decent flavor.
We were also mistakenly given a shrimp cocktail. We did give it a try. There were alot of shrimp. Flavor was ok.
Standard midwest Mexican American food. Basic, one note flavors.
Our server was kind and they were all trying their hardest given how busy it was.
Main reason we went in the first place was because we had a coupon.
I don’t think we’ll go back.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was well decorated. Bathrooms and hallways were clean and well. Lit. Service was incredible. Speedy efficient but it didn’t feel like they were rushing us out of the restaurant.
I had a little bit of calms with the quesadilla and the lack of cheese but the steak in the case the deal was incredible. I would recommend going to this restaurant not only for this but for their well portioned drinks as well

Stopped on for dinner at 5pm on a Saturday, beat the right and was able to get a table right away, however soon after there was a 30+ minute wait. We could definitely feel the staff’s stress of being too busy as everything was delayed, from getting our order taken, to getting refills to paying our bills. Went to try to go to the bathroom and there was a giant puddle filling the hallway which you had to trudge through to get to the bathrooms, just to find out they were out of order!!
Food was delicious though! The seafood portions in the dishes were very generous and tasted amazing! Enjoyed an horchata served in a giant glass mug. Would absolutely return for the food alone.

Wanted take out for wife’s bday. She craved tacos. Ordered food. Fully acceptable. While I waited, I sat at the bar. There were no signs that advertise, we sell super premium tequila. Looked around, up on the shelf was a gem. Bartender came back, I asked, “what do you have up there I should try?” He knew, pointed , this one, yes. I want to taste that one. Grand Maya deep anejo. Took me right back to Jalisco, fresh chopped agave. Each winery is so unique. That’s a love. I hope the expand on that. Super premium is hard to find in sampler portions. They will need a bigger place if the start pairing with courses.
Loved it, hope they develop into the destination they are.

I was really glad that I tried this restaurant. It was delicious clean and had a really comfortable vibe inside. They offered a lot of food, and the food was served very hot right out of the kitchen. The service was attentive, but not intrusive, and there was lots of bright light in the side, the restaurant, which I really liked. It be a great place to hang out with friends. It was not too loud, either. Very comfortable, very tasty. I will be back! Five stars
