My friends recommended this place from when they came over a year ago. Something must have changed. This was absolutely awful! The silverware came in the water cups along with a pitcher of water. And the coke came out in a can.
I think the beef was boiled and came out cold no seasoning or flavor at all, My 2 yo liked the rice but it was not a consistent texture throughout. I think the peanut sauce is peanut butter, soy sauce I think?
The server was nice, but inexperienced and didn’t check on us at all.
Over all a sad sad experience. The server did get the manager to take the beef Lao off the tab.

We have eaten here for years and really liked it and the great Thai family running it. I wished we were warned. Ownership has changed. The Thai has been removed from the Riverwalk. The Pad Thai was good. The wanton soup, massaman and green curry was not good. The beef was inedible. I’ve never seen Massaman look like this. Too thin, with only potatoes and not a good flavor. Wanton soup is very bland. The green curry flavor was ok but the frozen corn, peas and carrots ruined it. Green curry basics should include bamboo shoots and some peppers. The chicken satay was like jerky. I am disappointed that my biannual Lava trip won’t include a good Thai dinner anymore. Unfortunately this kitchen crew and new management does not know what makes good Thai food.

Blue collar workers seem to love this place… For me, I’ve tried so many Thai places that this fell way short of any expectations. The staff seemed almost annoyed that I placed a to go order even though they only had 1 table filled inside (not busy). The food itself didn’t taste as expected and certain dishes didn’t have much flavor. What I can say is that based on presentation and hints of flavors, I would be able to guess it’s Thai food over any other Asian cuisine. Being in a small town, sometimes you gotta eat what’s accessible and I can see why this place does the trick for those individuals.

Absolutely amazing service—everyone was so friendly and welcoming to my entire family. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The pineapple ham fried rice was to die for—perfectly balanced flavors with just the right amount of sweetness and savory. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

Service was okay, nothing poor just not exceptional. The pineapple fried rice was good. The yellow curry was also good, I was not a fan of the squishy texture of the beef, but that’s just me.

This was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. I’m very picky, but I want to like trying new things, so i strayed from my normal Orange Chicken order and got pork with a side of peanut sauce and cucumber salad and I can’t get over how amazing it was. The seasoning, texture, and profile in the dish were immaculate and the peanut sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The server was so nice, I didn’t see her name but she has dyed hair. She greeted us the second we came in and casually joked with us despite us coming in an hour before close. We didn’t stay long, but we will be coming back.
I WILL learn to cook my dish. 10/10

I hate leaving bad reviews, but eating out is expensive so I feel it’s my duty to other diners. I sympathize with the new management running this place – our server was transparent and let us know that they’ve changed ownership and are trying to learn the previous owners’ recipes. The lack of mastery over Thai cuisine is unfortunately very obvious here. I would say give them some time to get into the swing of things and pay attention to the most recent reviews before going here.

Would come here at least once a week for a get away and loved the family who used to run it. We always ordered the same thing and it was always amazing, the food now is extremely bland and not even close to the same. The new staff has absolutely no emotion or care how you feel about your food or service, the establishment is nothing close to what it used to be. Sad to say but I will never be coming back..

Always a good spot to eat when we visit. It’s under me ownership, but we ordered our usuals and it still tasted the same. We had better service than we usually get, which wasn’t bad, just different. Another benefit is the prices are still low. Send like every other place in town is over $50 just for two people to eat. I still love this place and will keep coming back whenever we visit.

Started with the spring rolls; very crispy! I had the fried catfish. The batter was thick. My wife had the lettuce wrap; plenty of fixings. Staff made sure our drinks were full.
