They don’t have kitchen, so you are potentially eating leftovers from yesterday. Only one person is there. He is a cook, server, cashier…
We ordered a chicken soup and it was sour. So had to return it.
Whatever you see on pictures is so far from whe you actually get.
On a positive side- the place is not crowded.
Best coffee I’ve ever had in the US !!
This cozy Italian café is a hidden gem. The coffee is excellent, pastries are fresh, and the rum cake “Baba” is absolutely amazing! Everything tastes authentic, and the owner and manager are incredibly warm and welcoming. A true slice of Italy—highly recommend!
Stepping into this café is like stepping right into the heart of Italy — no passport required. Hands down, this is the best coffee in New Jersey, brewed to perfection with rich, bold flavor that instantly transports you to a café on a cobblestone street in Rome.
But the magic doesn’t stop at the coffee. The pastries are beyond fresh — flaky, buttery, and made daily with unmistakable love and precision. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cannoli or savoring a delicate sfogliatella, every bite reminds you that this isn’t your average café.
The food? Absolutely authentic. It’s easily the most genuine Italian cuisine you’ll find not just on the East Coast, but honestly, anywhere in America. The ingredients, the preparation, the flavors — it’s all pure Italy.
The owner is incredible Pompei, and his right hand Jimmy he should be given a review on those 2 men — warm, welcoming, and proudly Italian, accent and all. He brings soul to the space, and his passion for food and hospitality is evident in every detail. The staff are just as wonderful — kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there and they take pride in the food and service.
Tucked away in a luxury apartment complex right next to Princeton Plainsboro Hospital, this quaint little spot is a true hidden treasure. Cozy, stylish, and full of heart — it’s the kind of place you want to keep coming back to.
A must-visit. A must-experience. Italy has truly come to New Jersey.
