This was my first time coming here and I absolutely loved it! The beer tap wall was a pretty neat thing and allows you to try different beers, the food is fantastic (we had mushroom toast for an app, followed by the puttanesca burger and cacio e pepe) and atmosphere is just what we wanted. My husband and I would absolutely come here again and bring friends.

This place was a nice surprise, first time here but definitely not last.
They have a wall full of beer options and you serve yourself the amount you want and you pay just for what you served yourself, which is the best for people who are not big drinkers like me.
The options were pretty good.
The food, such a nice surprise, it was delicious!!!

We have been here twice now and both times the food and service were absolutely exceptional. You wouldn’t know it from the outside but by far the best pasta that I have had in the Phoenixville area. Their beer tap pay as you go wall was actually cooler than I thought. It was really nice to be able to taste a little bit of something, pour myself a half beer, try a bunch of stuff, switch it up pairing based on apps or main course. The past was excellent, well balanced, creative, really 10 out of 10.
Now here’s our gripe, the music both times was absolutely terrible and too loud. Dubstep (I thought it was 2012 for a second) the first time and terrible pop punk the second time. Both times we were there around 5pm so it wasn’t like we were there at 8 on a Friday. Most likely we will only be getting takeout in the future because the music really was that bad.
Overall we had a great experience. The place does feel a bit disjointed. The casual dining experience doesn’t really match the epicurian delight coming out of the kitchen nor does the beer centric focus of the tap wall. It almost feels like they’re trying to mix three concepts into one and they just can’t get things to emulsify. That being said, we will definitely be back.

Rivertown Taps is, hands down, the most incredible dining experience I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is laid-back and welcoming—but don’t let the casual atmosphere fool you. The food and cocktails here are nothing short of high-end, chef-driven perfection.
I started with the DJ Gimlet and the Tan Sicilian—two cocktails that completely blew me away. The balance of flavors was impeccable; truly some of the best craft cocktails I’ve ever had.
As for the food, every single dish was a knockout. The fresh oysters were briny and clean, the pork belly burnt ends were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the rigatoni al funghi was pure magic—rich, earthy, and comforting in all the right ways.
This place nails it on every level: flavor, presentation, creativity, and service. The attention to detail in every dish is clear, and the rotating beer wall is a fun, interactive bonus.
I’ve brought friends here and will continue to—it’s my go-to spot. If you’re anywhere near Phoenixville, do yourself a favor and go. 10/10, no question!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! It was honestly the best food I’ve had in this area. My husband and I went just to grab drinks and an appetizer, and the second we took our first bite, we both looked at each other – eyes wide, eyebrows raised – completely blown away. The burst of flavor was such an amazing surprise. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience!
I will absolutely be a regular! This is officially my new favorite date night spot!

I had the Carbanara with a chicken add on. This was an exceptional dish. The flavors were balanced, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was solid. It has been a while since I found a dish that makes me want to return for seconds. This place will be on my list for a future visit. Oh, and you can sample a ton of beers and ciders on tap…paying by the ounce. I love that! Give it a try the next time you are in Phoenixville.

I came here with coworkers for a happy hour. I love the variety of drinks. Their cocktails are really good and they have a self pour wall with beer, cider, and other drinks.
The drinks are good, but the food is the biggest reason I’ll keep coming back. Over a few visits, I’ve tried:
– Mexican Street Curds
– Hot Honey Duck Wings
– Kimchi Grilled Cheese
– Harvest Grilled Cheese
– Donuts
Everything I’ve had has been fantastic. The Mexican Street Curds are my must try dish every time I go. They rotate the menu, so I hope they don’t take them off.
This is probably my favorite restaurant in the area. I’ll be back next time I travel to the area for work.

We have been coming to rivertown taps for a few years and the food is always amazing. Recently we had the French onion burger (cooked to perfection I nights add) and the arancini. The cocktails with peanut butter infused whiskey were also a big hit. I fully recommend coming in if you are in the area.

In town visiting for the holidays and wanted to try a new beer spot. Our experience was fantastic. Our server had great recommendations and helped us decide which apps to split for our table of 3. I would recommend the burrata and spicy fried pickles. Both apps were delicious. Rivertown also had a fantastic selection of beers and a variety of glass sizes. I would recommend making a reservation because this place is awesome. It was busy from start to finish but they still provide 5 star service! We had a lovely time and will definitely be back next year to try more food and beer!

Rivertown Taps is just such a special place — the menu is seasonal, innovative, and just delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal here and the chicken wings are the best I have ever had — they fall right off the bone. The pour wall is awesome, but the star here is the food. Even something as simple as a Caesar salad or a burrata feels gourmet yet somehow home cooked and comforting at the same time. Must try if you’re in town!!!!!
