The burgers and chicken are really good. We try to make this our lunch stop when visiting North Georgia or North Carolina and routed this way. Service is prompt, just love eating outside on the deck.

Great bike parking. Trout dinner was excellent. Cole slaw really good, potato salad and little boring. My wife’s fish sandwich and sweet potato fries really good. Service good. We’ll be back.

If you’re ever in the North Georgia Mountains at the intersection of two highways in the middle of nowhere, Turner’s Corner is a place to stop and have an excellent meal with a view. It is frequented by explorers, hikers, and motorcyclists. It’s not uncommon to see a dozen motorcycles or sports cars outside the restaurant. The windy roads of the mountains are driven just for fun. Families are also commonly seen in this restaurant, enjoying the day out at the local attractions of waterfalls, hiking, and camping.

We had a late lunch here on a Saturday. we’re able to walk straight in without any hesitation. We did wait a few minutes on one of the tables on the patio to be cleared for us to sit at, but there is plenty seating inside if you wanted to sit inside. The day was nice, so we decided to sit on the patio that overlooked the river.

Parking in this place can be a problem because of its popularity. This is the best restaurant in the North Georgia Mountains if you’re up trying to do hikes or waterfalls at the intersection of 129 and 19, Turner’s is a common destination.

Even though we sat right down, it takes about 5 minutes to get a menu, and we ordered our drinks first. 15 minutes later, we still didn’t have our drinks yet. The waitress was very nice and apologized and said that the drinks would be on her since they were so late and arriving. Although when we got the check, the drinks were still on there. No big deal, but don’t say it if you’re not going to do it.

There are daily drink specials from the full open bar. They have a large selection of beer and wine to choose from as well. The big giant pretzel is soft and savor and comes with your choice of dipping Sauces. It’s said to be a local favorite and big enough to share with the entire table.

We had Tavern Tasters appetizers, a sampler plate appetizer, and we chose jalapeno poppers, cheese sticks, and fried mushrooms. Our order came out piping hot and very delicious. Of the three, the jalapeno poppers were the best to our tastes. They were not too hot for even the most timid heat eater good to tolerate them.

For our entrees, we had the Riverside rainbow with Brunswick stew and potato salad sides. The trout had excellent flavor and was very tasty, although it seemed a bit salty. The Brunswick stew had good flavor to me, though as with many of the other reviews, it seemed like it had too many tomatoes and a bit sour.

The other entree was the papa bear, 10 oz of seared chopped steak cooked medium rare to order. When it came out, the medium rare was the right temperature in color. The grilled onions and mushrooms on top add a significantly to the flavor. I wanted to try this side of peach slaw, which is basically coleslaw with peaches in it. After all, it is Georgia, right? the peaches added a good sweetness to the flavor, so I enjoyed it. The onion rings I had for the side were hot, and the batter was crispy and very tasty to add to the flavor of the papa bear chopped steak.

Don’t forget desert, the pecan pie I had to take to go but couldn’t resist since pecan pie is one of my favorites.

The food, overall, was much better than what you would expect from the Roadside Tavern type bar and grill. Once we were finally able to put in an order, the food came out quickly and properly cooked. The portions were large, and they were all served up hot.

What a Quaint venue on the water. Lots of options on the menu, but with the heavy traffic they were out of a lot. We still had great food and they happily customized. We had $5 mimosas, nachos, pork basket and the wedge salad with Buffalo chicken. Parking was tight with how busy it was. Value was in line. Service was great.

Eat here!
Service was great and lunch couldn’t have been better. The trout was perfect. Lightly seasoned, pan seared, cooked to perfection and served piping hot. We had a great time visiting with locals and eating on the patio with our dog.

Great location for a restaurant. I was not able to eat anything. Because they open 11 am. I wanted to eat something at this beautiful restaurant by little creek. They have nice outside deck with view. Hopefully I can eat some food next time in the area. It is favorite stop for bikers. I hope they keep this authentic place for years .

It was a good dinner.
Busy Friday night

They have a band out on the patio. It’s ok had the band playing and also music going inside. Just noise.

The server was a bit slow getting to our table. But she was the only one working and she apologized.. but that was the only time we had to wait.

Once she took out order, the food came out super fast, fresh and HOT!
I love fries so hot they burn your fingers.
They must have taken these out of the fryer and straight on the plate as she was walking to the table. Love love love hot fried.

Chicken tenders were hot crunchy on the outside tender juicy on the inside.

Patty melt on point. Fresh hot. Well seasoned.
Really good.

We also did fried pickles. Chips. They were good. They came out a few minutes before the food.

All in all glad we stopped.

Recommend it if you want a quick supper.

36$ dinner for 2 with appetizer. Not bad.
