We had a wonderful experience! This was by far the best meal I’ve had in a really long time! Chrissy, our server was excellent, all her suggestions were spot on! Even her suggestion for a nice walk at a nearby botanical garden was great and very much appreciated after that fantastic meal! Thank you for an enjoyable Anniversary dinner!

We came here for our wedding anniversary and it was amazing! When we walked in I was shocked with how fancy it was. There was no wait and the host brought us to our booth. The booths are very spacious and comfortable.

Our waiter Joshua was extremely helpful and so kind, he explained any questions we had perfectly and gave us all his recommendations! He was quick with drink refills, and getting food to our table. And he even gave us a cute little “happy 1 year” note! His service alone was 5/5 stars.

The food was so delicious! By far the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. I have absolutely zero complaints about any of the food, it was beyond any expectations I had.

Oh snap! I actually put a 5 star level on a review. If you read my reviews, I always save the 5 star for something that really is over the top. When they restored this small strip of Crockett street….they spared no expense. They got it right. Now, this is my first visit to Beaumont and at the risk of offending the locals, it is not pleasant. The city feels abandoned with scores if not hundreds of empty store fronts buildings and warehouses. I even tried to visit the Port, (probably the only attraction the city has) but it was fenced off and not accessible. There was no public area. No train ride, no Port museum, no port café, no port boat rides or cargo ship tours. Nothing. Then, I stumbled on to Crocket street as I was looking for the restored historic theater. It was only 5 o’clock and the Riverside restaurant was the only storefront with any sign of life. So, I strolled in for a peek. Wow! I was greeted with genuine enthusiasm and no condemnation when I said I was just looking and wanted to seena menu. The staff politely obliged and I took a moment to preview the menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of go to favorites like chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes as well as Filet Mingon and glazed carrots! What an amazing menu! Someone did their research. Alot of thought went into this menu! Something for everyone. I choose a Greek salad which was spot on, and my wife choose the chicken fried chicken. The chicken fried chicken was by far the BEST we ever had! (Sorry El Paraiso in Zapata) The chicken was so juicy and tender with anton of flavor, it didn’t even need the batter but the batter was light and crispy and just sent it over the top! My son and his coach got the grilled shrimp. I don’t eat shrimp, but they both told me it was the best they ever had. The sweet tea was a little weak and that almost cost them a star, but the food was so good at every level. The glazed carrots were exploding with flavor, but were a touch mushy. Coach said his sweet potatoes casserole was delicious and he never had anything like it before. The atmosphere was amazing. I loved the chandelier and the seating was comfortable. Sorry, I forgot to check the restroom, my usual litmus test for restaurant cleanliness. But, based on everything else I saw, I am completely comfortable in assuming it was pleasant as well. The parking lot the city put in was well lit and huge! When we left around 7:30 the Rverside grill was still the only venue open. I hope the others will be coming soon. What a breath of fresh life this area is to this l quaint forgotten city. Come downtown and enjoy!

The kind of southern restaurant in the heart of an old, deep, east Texas town. The redfish main was outstanding. Sides and apps, including drinks were also very well designed and under management of a well organized kitchen. Parking is free and abundant, and though the city center is clearly gentrifying, this was a pleasant surprise and one of the best restaurants in all of Texas, in all regards.

Took forever for someone to take our drink order! Said a manager was coming never did. We set reservations and everything. I think at a restaurant that charges alot of money for stuff they would have good service. I guess it wasn’t our servers night maybe. Food was OK I’ve had better, waited for a to go drink that took at least 30 mins left without it too because it was taking to long. And we paid for it. Also where we were sitting had a giant beam in front so every 5 seconds a waiter would pass through this tiny space. I have a photo and I get it , it’s the structure of the building. Needless to say we probably wont be back.

First time trying this place but was definitely a cool spot. Atmosphere was nice customer service professional. Food was served hot and fresh. Only thing was they ran out of napkins per the server. Overall a good place prices where great and we had no wait to be seated.

Seating: We had 6:00 reservations and only got seated about 6:35 because I made a fuss. The reasoning was, “A lot of people called yesterday and wanted 6:00 reservations.” My response was, “When you run out of room for a certain time, you tell people you’re full at that time.” Duh!
Service: Steyton (spelling may be wrong) was excellent. He was attentive and made sure that we always got what we needed.
Food: I had gumbo. A bit thin for my liking, but different places have different styles of gumbo. I had a salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp had a fishy taste, like they might be old. The croutons were dreadful. Supposedly cornbread, they were sweet, soggy, and had no crunch. Everybody at the table who had a salad removed their croutons.
Atmosphere: busy and noisy, but it was Saturday night.

We went on a Saturday evening early(after 6 the place was filling up) and had a wonderful dining experience. Our server Chrissy was wonderful as was our food and the atmosphere. This is one of the nicest looking restaurants in Beaumont if not the nicest. Everything was prepared perfectly. If you have not been you should go.
