Outstanding service and outstanding food. We’ve never had a bad meal here. Take out or dine in. The Chef knows their stuff. Highly recommend the steak tips with vegetable medley. Their fries are excellent. Intimate bar; excellent mixed drinks. The acoustics are a bit tough if you dine in. I’m older and have a hard time hearing dinnermates conversation when it’s busy and the background noise seems amplified in the dining areas. But this is common problem with many excellent restaurants.

Stopped in for a late lunch. We would absolutely get the reuben egg rolls again and our friend liked his corn chowder. The ramen noodles were over cooked but the broth was good and every bite came up with something different – chicken, bean sprouts, carrots, mushroom, noodles, etc. We also got the southern fried chicken sandwich, riverside burger, and fish sandwich. All were good. We definitely will be back as there are many more items on the menu we want to try.

Riverside Grille is quaint, modern, and has a comfortable atmosphere. Even though the restaurant is small, there are six different areas to sit: two areas with traditional tables and chairs (one of these areas has river views), one near the fireplace, one near the stairs, an adorable bar area, and an outdoor seating area (during the warmer months) with river views.
I went here with my wife and my in-laws for a late lunch. It wasn’t busy and we were seated and had service right away. The menu had good options without being overwhelming. The food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We had to wait a bit longer than expected for the food and drinks to come out, but it might have been due to the slower time of day (less staffed than busier days, maybe); not a big deal in the end.
I’d go back. I want to try some more menu items!

The Riverside Grille was fantastic! We’ve been twice so far: on a sleepy Sunday morning and on a busy Saturday night. The brunch we attended on Sunday was right after they opened and it was delicious. We sat right on the river and had a blast! Now, the real reason I am doing this review is the next time we dined there was a challenge for the staff and they absolutely delivered.
On Sat Feb 22nd my family and another family visiting from Georgia decided to try our luck and hit the Riverside Grille at around 645pm, which must be their busiest time. We called ahead and asked if they could seat a party of nine, a party that included 4 adults and 5 kids ages 6 to 13. Once we arrived, the table was being setup and we were greeted right away. We could tell they were busy, but I believe it’s the sign of a great restaurant. All tables in the dining room were full and seats at the bar were as well. Our server, a young man with dark hair and glasses was outstanding (I can’t remember his name!). We ordered drinks and apps right away. I got the Riverside Grille root beer in a bottle and it was awesome. Our server was attentive and goofing with the kids. Our apps came out way quicker than we expected. The calamari was fresh and warm. The seasonal perogies were out of this world. If you’re reading this review and they still have them on the menu? Go get an order and enjoy those little pillows of doughy joy.
Dinner was served after another round of drinks. By now, the kids all had food and were chowing down. Please see the pics associated with this review: the broody 13 year old got the poke bowl and was actually smiling at how fantastic it was and I got the fish and chips, plus onion rings: holy cow. It was HUGE! I mean talk about getting your money’s worth. I generally get a take out box to go, but there was nothing left. The other adults did the steak tips with chimichurri sauce (which I got to sample the next day from a box) they were cooked perfectly and the sauce was a nice touch. My wife is super picky about meat temps and they delivered a perfect medium rare.
Needless to say, we will be going back! There are no restaurants in Mont Vernon so New Boston is our place for hidden gems like the Riverside Grille.

We had a great experience at the Riverside Grill this past Friday! The service was awesome; our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The drinks were tasty and there was a great variety of them. And ultimately, the food was very, very good! We ordered the potato skins and poutine for appetizers, and then we ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich, fish and chips, and buffalo chicken wrap and everything was fresh and delicious!
We can’t wait to go back.

Just went for the first time tonight, everything was amazing! Our waitress Emily was so sweet and friendly; checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The Rueben egg roles and fried chicken sandwich with hot honey are delicious, as well as the fish tacos. The sides of loaded mashed and tater tots were perfect. Drinks were STRONG! Definitely coming back to try more!

My Husband, son and I went on Cinco De Mayo to try their specials! 10/10 recommend. The tacos were absolutely delicious, and the nachos were amazing. Cheers to the bartender as well that night, drinks were amazing. And the lovely waitress Sierra was so kind to our 1 year old and us.

They have done a great job reimagining this wonderful local restaurant! The service was wonderful with the smiling hostess able to seat us right away. The wait staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. We have a great meal and I would highly recommend stopping in!

Stopped in a few more times and the place just keeps getting better. The summer specials are amazing and the outdoor patio is wonderful by the river. I had the mixed grille this time and the meats were well marinated and the steak cooked perfectly.

We took my aunt’s there while they were in the area visiting us last night. The welcoming staff, our server, Sam, and the food were all fantastic and on point. We had a round of perfect drinks, amazing apps and then a delicious dinner. Definitely stop in to try them out if you have not already.

We are from out of town visiting a dear friend. She lives close by and has never been and gave the suggestion to try.
Great suggestion on her part! We really liked the food, the scenery, and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a little loud but I can’t fault anyone for that. The restaurant was filled with family, friends, colleagues all enjoying some good food and conversation. It seems like a good space that all your friends meet up Friday after work to just relax and let go.
Portion sizes were good. My boyfriend said his burger was one of the best he’s ever had!
Prices were more than fair for the portion and good taste!
