These kind ladies know what they’re doing. Amazing food, great service and more than fair pricing. Walked in starving, walked out full with a smile on my face. The Durango burger was to die for and the blueberry pie was delectable. Will absolutely be back to get a breakfast plate soon!

I wanted to have breakfast with my mother alone and just connect. We had an opportunity to go into Salida and anywhere, she said we should go to Riverside Cafe. She loves Sheryl and likes going to a restaurant in her town! I was all for it because this saved a trip back and forth to Salida. And more time to connect with my mom! Sheryl was out at doctors, and someone new was covering the restaurant. With heart and focus she did a great job meeting customers needs, greeting us and making us feel welcome.
We are not big eaters, so we split a western omelette with marble rye toast, mom’s favorite. The food came fast with a smile, split in the back for us to share! Very fresh and amazingly good, quite a big portion of food. We really enjoyed our meal and our service. We had a great talk and connected better than we had in many years.
Thank you Riverside Cafe! That was really the icing on the cake of a great trip and an amazing time of connecting with my family. I am so glad mom chose to come to the Riverside Cafe. I will be back very soon to support and encourage a restaurant that is doing such a great job for their small community, Amen!

Great find on our way North to Salida. They let us use their outdoor deck seating so we could keep our two dogs with us. They had excellent burgers from fresh local beef and homemade pecan pie. They gladly accomodated my wife’s food allergies.

I absolutely do not like to leave negative reviews but this time I’ll make an exception. The fried chicken was bland, french fries cold, my wife’s burger overcooked. The waitress never brought me the ketchup for my fries I had pleasantly requested, and my tea glass remained empty the entire time. I understand it could have an anomaly so I will give them another chance…only one.

Cozy, country cafe that serves delicious food and great service. We had a party of 6, and selected the fried chicken and fried shrimp. Lightly battered and tasty, nice portions and a crisp salad. Delicious rolls as well.

I’m a local; yet have just started trying to support our local businesses by finally going to our local eateries rather than always cooking at home with the wife.
Since my face isn’t familiar; I got the ” we dont know you treatment ” and stood at the register waiting to pay for my to go breakfast, for over 12 minutes….. while the two waitresses conversed with the 7 people in the whole place. Never ONCE addressing my presence.
They finished their conversation and walked away. Never even addressing the PAYING CUSTOMER at the register….I guess this business doesn’t need money
