We had a really comfortable and enjoyable dinner here this evening! Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. My sister and I both loved the catfish—it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a relaxing spot to enjoy a meal. We left happy and satisfied, and I know we’ll be coming back again soon!

This is restaurant is a decent priced, old style eating establishment. The decor is dated. You’ll get gigantic portions of not fancy, but good tasting food. The people who work here are super nice. A good place for a nice relaxing meal.

Vegetable Soup was amazing. Loved the fresh breaded Chicken Fried Chicken. Meatloaf had very good flavor. The Chili Cheeseburger was amazing and brought back amazing childhood memories.

Great experience from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean and the tables were well arranged. The food was flavorful and served quickly. The staff paid attention to every detail and made sure we had everything we needed. A must-try place in the area!

I usually dont post reviews but the food was absolutely amazing. so much better than most diners where they have frozen or pre-made food. it was a genuine home-cooked meal that was served with nothing but kindness, plus it was super cheap for only 2 people so that was definitely a plus lol

One of the best local restaurants that I’ve ever been to in Wichita. This one on Central has a great atmosphere. Great food friendly service.
I have now tried both restaurants the one on 13th as well as this one on Central. I would highly recommend these restaurants to anyone.
Bravo Riverside cafe staff!

The Riverside Cafe in Derby is the only on owned by the original owner. I have eaten at Paul’s establishments for 20 years and the selection, quality and service is excellent. Unfortunately he has sold the West Central and West 13th locations. I ate at the West Central location a year ago and it sucked. I was close to the 13th location today and tried it and it was equally as sub standard as the West location. I may have been spoiled but it was on the scale of truck stop sushi. I had biscuits and gravy and 2 patties of sausage. I don’t know what kind of gravy it was but it had no sausage in it and the two, pre-fab paper thin sausage patties were poor at best. I know they are now owned by different people but Paul, pull your name off the Marquee. It does not represent your years of excellence in fine food. I’ll never easy anywhere except the Derby location. Wow!

This place has gone downhill because I used to like it. Service okay. Got breakfast skillet and was disappointed. Had to return it because they put too much gravy u could wash your hand on it. Too much cheese you could barely see the egg or sausage. Cinnamon had too much liquid icing. Not impressed with the food at all for the price they charge.

Went about noon time. My friend got breakfast…it was OK she said. Her egg looked about the size of a quail egg & her french toast looked burnt. I got a 1/4 lb burger with fries. The fries were ok but lacked salt & could have been cooked longer to crisp them up.The burger was flat & dry & flavorless as a hockey puck. They were out of mustard if you can believe that. The waitress offered to bring some mayo. The consensus was we will not be going back as the food was underwhelming even for a cafe.
