I like breakfast for lunch or supper. I stopped in for a bite. This place has a lot of character & charm. I was overwhelmed by the amount of food they served and the pancake was huge. The food was excellent and the staff is wonderful. Happy New Year’s to you all!

Cozy old school diner that’s been in the same spot since 1946 the food is exactly as you would expect it for a classic diner, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were exceptionally reasonable. I would recommend it if you are looking for that classic American comfort meal.

This used to be my favorite neighborhood cafe.. I’ve really tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but ever since the fire and new ownership the place doesn’t have the appeal it once did. The staff is still very friendly and welcoming but thats about the best thing I can give this place. Food has substantially gone down hill. No flavor and it’s as greasy as it can get. Their breakfast burrito used to be a hit! Now it seems to just be a watery thrown together mess. I really wanted to have that feeling of what it once was, hearing that its been a struggle to keep the doors open. But at 12 o’clock on beautiful Saturday it was about as empty as it could get. Hard to see a place like this fall.

I wish they would bring Megan back on the weekends. She always takes amazing care of us and is so hospitable. She makes it feel like you are visiting family or a friend when you come in. Since she hasn’t been at this location we have had a new waitress take care of us and its just not the same. Very disappointing when you get use to having someone familiar take care of you regularly and then they get transferred to a different location that doesn’t work for you because of where you reside.

I really tried to love this place. The musty/funky smell when we walked in, the hanging/peeling ceiling, uneven floor, wobbling tables (we tried 3) just made it a no-go for returning.
My wife said her pancake was awesome. The waitress kept our mugs full.
The usual fare of eggs toast hashbrowns was average.

Finally tried and it definitely deserves the 5 stars! The coffee was strong, and the #17 was exactly what I needed, great value and good portion. Cute diner vibe and the sever, Stacey, was really friendly. Definitely coming back.

I placed an order via phone with the server Stacy and came in to pick it up order was placed at 11:12 am when I came in only person that greeted me was Megan and she checked with Stacy to see if my order was submitted and Stacy told her yes I arrived there at about 11:30 when all this occurred by 12:08 I was seeing people who came in after me and I followed up with Megan she went to the back and checked and saw Stacy had never submitted my order. So Megan took my order then for me not to mention the other servers weren’t greeting or helping people that had been sitting at the bar stools for their orders only Megan was attentive. One server was even wearing her hoodie up while working. But Stacy was completely bypassing customers who hadn’t even received their menus or anything. Megan needs a raise Stacy needs to be put on a slower shift and I don’t know what’s wrong with the server who was wearing their hoodie but she may need some help or something. Looked constantly annoyed or irritated yet through the whole time only Megan carried great and proper server etiquette.

A cool little historic diner in the Riverside neighborhood. There is definitely history on the walls! If for no other reason go catch up on the history of Wichita and the neighborhood of the diner. The waitress is definitely a bit grouchy in the morning. But she was fast and pretty efficient. To all those that said she is rude, maybe she is not there to be your friend. She is there to get you a plate full of hot food and a drink if you desire. She did that with ease. The food was slightly above average. Again, I am not expecting a Michelin restaurant experience! It was a solid reasonably priced meal.
May they celebrate 100 years in business!

We went at 10:45am on a Tuesday and there were about 6 tables taken. We seated ourselves and the waitress came over immediately and was friendly and quick. We ordered the Hungry Woman, Junkyard Dog omelette, and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was delicious and HUGE!!! My husband and I shared it and we still had to take half of it home. The junkyard dog omelette was gigantic and packed full of the fillings. The biscuits and gravy were seasoned to perfection and my husband loved the eggs and sausage. The portions were so big we took 3 boxes home, which was crazy considering how good the prices were! Our coffee cups were kept full and the staff’s conversations with the regulars were fun to listen to. We loved it! We have been to quite a few cafes and diners but this one is the best we’ve found in Wichita.

Food is always pretty good. The last few times we had nice waitresses. I’ll be honest what has kept me away in the past, is the customer service. Our last visit was pretty good, waitress was nice but forgot everything lol. Atmosphere is cool, but the cook does blast the music. I like to be at peace when I eat. So if music bothers you , this might not be the place to go to. I gotta keep it real.
