We loved this place. The atmosphere was great and welcoming. We went with friends, it was our first time here. Food was great, the service was great. We sat out on deck along the water, watch boats come and go, you can dock your boat here and grab a bite to eat. Fish taco was wonderful, bam bam shrimp was wonderful, the drinks were great. I highly recommend this place, we will return and bring friends and family. Sara was our waitress, she was engaged, and was on the ball. She made us laugh and we had a great time. I look forward to our next visit and I hope Sara will be there to take care of us again.

My wife and I had lunch at the bar on the back side of this riverfront restaurant at around noon on Sunday, August 17, 2025. We’d eaten here over a decade earlier and knew it had a nice view of the Indian River, so we decided to try it out again. When we arrived, we’d noticed that a place called Vero Tackle & Watersports had been built directly in front of the restaurant, so at first, we feared that maybe the restaurant had been closed. When we walked out back of the tackle shop, we were happy to see the Riverside Cafe was still very much in business. When we entered, we noted that they had a large brunch buffet set up in the main dining room, and a church group was starting to shuffle in to occupy that seating area. The hostess escorted us back to the bar on the backside of the restaurant, and we were happy to find that the owners had made this an enclosed tiki area and it was delightfully air conditioned on a hot and humid summer afternoon. The nice view of the river was still here to behold as well. We shared a French Dip roast beef sandwich at the bar, which was very good. Our bartender Morgan was also very friendly and attentive to our needs. This is a nice place to have a casual lunch or early evening dinner to watch the sunset over the beautiful Indian River and we will go back anytime we visit Vero Beach in the future.

This place was awesome. My wife and I went here for dinner. She had the chicken Caesar salad and I had the special which was Pompano. It was fantastic. We got happy hour for cheaper beers and a GORGEOUS sunset by the bridge. The service was super fast and everything came out correct. They also had live music in the bar area. We can’t wait to come back.

Oh, and you can feed the catfish.

If you’re looking for a place to eat on the River to enjoy the view this is a place for you. The food and service is good. Bonus, when boating you’re able to dock and eat.

We ate here last night for dinner, and then I took friends for lunch again today. Relaxed atmosphere and great quality food with good value for the price. Both servers were exellent, very friendly, and checked on us often. In fact the servers were the best I’ve experienced in a long time, especially Mariana who we had last night. Finicky hiring or maybe just good training, but kudos to both servers and the business… Lots of parking, but a popular place, so may have to wait a few minutes for someone to leave at dinner time, lunch was easier to find a spot.

This riverfront restaurant is one of those rare local spots that manages to feel both laid‑back and full of character the moment you arrive. Set right on the water with a classic fish camp atmosphere, it offers the kind of Old Florida charm that’s getting harder to find. The outdoor seating is easily one of its best features—wide open views of the river, a steady breeze, and plenty of space to relax while watching boats drift by.

The bar area adds another layer of appeal, with casual seating and a friendly crowd that makes it easy to settle in for a drink or two. Whether you’re grabbing a cold beer after a day on the water or enjoying a cocktail at sunset, it’s the kind of place where time slows down in the best way.

Boaters will especially appreciate the convenient dock access, making it an effortless stop during a day out on the river. Pull up, tie off, and you’re steps away from good food and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the sort of spot locals return to again and again because it delivers exactly what you want—simple, fresh flavors, a relaxed vibe, and a view that never gets old.

Amazing all around. We hadn’t been on land in 2 weeks. This was our first stop and did not disappoint. The service was first class. Never waited or had to ask for anything. And the food. Delicious. Don’t miss out on this gem.

We enjoyed ourselves here for an early afternoon light bite. Chris was great at the bar. We ordered hot peel ’em . I’ve had a lot of peel ’em shrimp, being a Florida native…..these were some of the best I’ve ever had!!! Juicy, not dry, plump delicious shrimp. They offer outdoor , indoor seating. Large bar, James was great in our 2nd visit as well. There’s an area for live We just might have to come back before we head home We already came back and absolutely loved their oysters!!

This is my favorite place to eat in Vero Beach! You cannot be the scenic location, local culture, and delicious food. This is a great place to come with a big group of family or friends!

If there was an award for best waitress in America, it would have to go to Sara. She truly anticipates every single need and was always at the ready with extra water, extra napkins and even a quarter so my toddler could feed the ducks.

Our family favorites are the loaded nachos, grouper, Reuben, and the fish platter.

Can’t wait to come back for our next meal here!
