I can see why others have rated this place so highly. Awesome food and good service. I recommend Dick’s Israeli Delight if you like pastrami and a mocha. Everybody cleaned their plate and the prices were so reasonable. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in Ellsworth.

Ordered breakfast, 2 eggs over easy with rye toast, homefries and hash. One egg had a broken yolk (easy over fail) and there was runny white uncooked egg present (fail 2… on a single egg). Asked for the hash “cripsy” and it came back burnt to the point that the burnt taste permeated the hash, with a smell reminiscent of burnt hair. The unburnt portion was not really even cooked. Two people ordered the hash this way and *both* dishes arrived blackened and burnt in this manner. Hash was otherwise bland and had the consistency of canned, did not seem home-made. Homefries were also lacking any seasoning or flavor. Our waitress was nice and attentive, but when we voiced our complaint with obvious reason the only thing offered was “Sorry about that, we didn’t charge for the coffee.” Place is overall dated and somewhat dingy. Dusty high ceilings, worn closely packed tables.

We went there on a day when all other breakfast places were closed but they were still able to serve us in 30min wait. Which wasn’t because the line was pretty long. Everything tasted great, service was professional. If you have a bigger appetite then it’s worth ordering a few different options from the menu. E.g. my boyfriend added french toast to his eggs and bacon. Their filter coffee is great! Would definitely go again.

My husband and I were really excited to try this spot as we are from out of town and love a good breakfast place. We waited to be seated only to be sat in a booth that was tucked away from everyone else, by the dish washing area of the restaurant with many other seating options available. The tone of the host was also less than to be desired. As a black woman, I was really disappointed. We did not stay to eat here. My husband and I would highly recommend Flexit Cafe right across the street.

My wife and her friends went to have brunch today and were surprised by the experience they had. Typically, when dining at Riverside, the experience is pleasant and the staff is nice. Today was quite different as the waitress ignored the table for prolonged periods of time (even considering the restaurant was in a rush) and when food was finally served 39 minutes (directly from the waitress) after they ordered it was cold. Cold enough that it had certainly been sitting waiting to be delivered for upwards of 10 minutes. Keep in mind that the waitress had not come back the table at all in that time frame despite multiple attempts from the party to get her attention. Not to mention that when the party asked about the wait time and an estimate on when food would arrive after finally managing to get the waitress to visit the table. The answer they did get was very rude and disrespectful.

5 hungry boys all filled to the brim with food for a very reasonable price. Very homely atmosphere with pleasant and friendly staff. I had the Bridge Street omelette and a homemade biscuit and it was excellent. Easy to get to, right off main street with a public parking lot just across the street. I would go here again.

Food was kinda bland.. salsa had Jalipino peppers in it which I didn’t know bit I guess I should have asked and I can’t have them so not to much taste to my omelet. Not enough Swiss cheese. Mom ordered bacon w her eggs and got sausage but she wouldn’t tell the waitress which I’m 100% positive would have been more than happy to fix she was such a sweet girl.. wonderful personality and just a great waitress. I think her name was Whitney? But she did an amazing job.. but I just wish the food had more taste to it.. but helping mom out of the booth and to help her get out of the place I forget 2/3 of my food I was taking home which I planed to use my own salsa on. Ughhh.. that’s all it needed to be perfect… lol
