When you visit St. Louis, most likely you will visit the Gateway Arch and some of the Mississippi riverfront attractions. Another good bet is that you will visit the spacious Horseshoe Casino, a Caesar’s property. And just a short walk from the Arch, it just so happens that in addition to gaming, the Horseshoe houses a fine assortment of dining options, all overseen by the property’s top dining expert in charge, Chef Melvin.
One of my favorite venues for a delicious lunch at the St. Louis Horseshoe is the Riverside Cafe. A local favorite selection is their extra-generous sized breaded catfish sandwich. It is a culinary beauty! Expect a very ample piece of breaded catfish and all the trimmings: lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles red onions, Melvin’s special sauce and all served on a delicious, giant bun. There are also many menu sides available that pair well with the catfish. For my taste, the slaw is a perfect choice!

Missing 5th star is quality of food to price ratio, but overall would eat here again. We got a burger and fries and we’re very pleased with it, but I love when the elmployees recommend options and why even when you don’t ask. I applaud their friendliness and willing to help.

Stopped here to wait out the tornadoes following a volleyball tournament. I got a burger and fries, and they were OK. My wife really enjoyed the Chicken Nachos, and my daughter liked the cheese fries. It was pretty smoky near the casino, which affected the atmosphere.

First the kitchen so the food was really good. My husband enjoyed his Philly cheesesteak and my chicken cheesesteak was okay. The kitchen can only work as fast as somebody is taking orders at the register. This lady rather talks to her friend then working and taking orders. I am not joking we waited at least 7 minutes to have our order taken. We were standing right in front of her. Even the kitchen personnel seemed to be more than annoyed.

Food was ok. Lady Lisa is very slow on purpose. Order 2 different days and literally tried to give her a chance. Watching her was very annoying. Probably won’t stay a weekend anymore due to restaurant choices and then no one wants to work!

Very possibly the worst burger I have ever had. I always believed casinos served good food in an effort to attract or keep their patrons gambling. After this burger, made with what must have been frozen meat Pattie’s and the worst liquid cheese I have ever had. I won’t be going back there again for a burger, St Louis has a lot of other options far better.

No disrespect to the people working there. They were friendly and very clearly trying their best. But you gotta get them some more help. They are just sitting there getting their ass kicked. I saw a lot of people waiting an hour for the food. Either give people that heads up when they’re ordering or something. Food was also incredibly mid. Might be time to go back to the drawing board for Riverfront Grill.

The food was okay but the lady at the register and really rude. She had a grown on her face that was making us second guess to eat there. We never been there before so we wanted to try it out. The only reason why we still ordered from there is because the gentleman from the back was nice. She looked and acted like she didn’t like her job. If it was my employee I would let her go because people look at your customer service. If your customer service sucks the food might suck. She didn’t say hello or she could have at least smiled. We was asking her questions about the menu, she rolled her eyes said a couple of words and then walked away and sat down. If I see her again, I won’t be eating there.
