Very nice view of the river. The food is decent. Sometimes, I miss Country Kitchen and I want something reminiscent of it. Their food isn’t on par with Countey Kitchen, but it does the trick. The cole slaw is great. I like the tartar sauce. I’m not a fan of the hush puppies or the fries. The fish is okay. The cashier was not the friendliest on our last visit. We had a take out order. The lady that brought the order to the front was friendly. It’s worth the try at least once.

When we visit Thomaston we always make a point of eating at Riverbend Restaurant.
I have never had a better ribeye anywhere than the ones I get at Riverbend. It is always tender and juicy. The service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is what you would expect in a family-owned restaurant.

Been eating here since I was a little girl!! Me and my husband also love it. I always go when I just need those good memories. I always get catfish fillets and it’s so good everytime. I love how it’s just a simple place… Great food and service!

Unique place. It is a breath of fresh air to go there. It is in a rural part of Upson County. You go down 1/4 mile road to get to it. It is on the Flint River.The food is good. The sides they provide are huge and good. Catfish is their speciality. I thought the whole catfish was good, but I have had better. My fish was small and I didn’t get the most meat off of them. The side salad was very good. Onion rings were excellent. Sweet tea was addicting.

WE LOVED RIVERBEND .
Steaks and fish are super good !! The service is so friendly. And what an pretty outdoor setting get there an hour and a half before sunset and then watch the sunset as you’re finishing dinner !! Worth a drive !!

Order my favorite the fish or the steak and you will not be disappointed— this is a super place to eat with super friendly service, probably the best restaurant in a 15 or 20 mi radius or more! 5 Stars .

The food was good, even though my cod was a little overcooked and a bit too hard.
The owner was phenomenal, though, and talked to us quite a bit, which was great! Super kind and friendly people!! Our waitress seemed like she had a lot on her hands and forgot our rolls and who order what. But that was ok, and I would still say it’s a great place to eat! The river views were absolutely stunning!
Will definitely come back when in Georgia again!

The food was terrible . My feelings were so hurt because I drug two members of my family there by bragging about how great the catfish was. My catfish were fingerlings that had been cooked so long they were burnt clear through . We have been going there for several years and someone told me they had declined but I wouldn’t… Couldn’t believe it. Well, now I believe it. My heart is broken but we will NEVER go back.

Love this old-fashioned friendly backwoods farm-raised catfish restaurant! Best catfish, coleslaw, hush puppies & fried green tomatoes! We prefer them whole wiith bone-in to enjoy the crispy fins!
