TBH one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!! Not kidding. Italian Chopped on Ciabatta bread!! Nice lil side to go with the sandwhich too!! 10000% will be back again and again when we travel here, which is at least once a year cause we love Chattanooga!!

Nice made from scratch style sandwiches. Has a lot of varieties of salads and chips to choose from. I really enjoyed the bottled selection of drinks since I’m not a fan of how the water tastes in fountain drinks downtown. Not sure why they didn’t have desserts in the dessert display, maybe cause someone bought them all already. Tried the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread and the Stromboli. Thought they were both good. Next time if I get the Stromboli I will ask for some kind of extra sauce cause I can’t eat that much bread without tons of sauce or oil. The sandwiches are definitely big enough to split between two people if you aren’t starving. The entrance is on the back side of Frazier towards cooledge park! Would definitely recommend for a very meaty sandwich or a homemade style salad for lunch!

Best sandwich and soup I’ve had in a VERY long time…maybe ever. We got the specials: beef brisket and ham and brie. AMAZING. This is a must for anyone in Chattanooga.

This place is…. Fine. Stopped in on a Saturday with a Dog Frisbee event across the street, so they were pretty packed and very apologetic about the long wait times (I still got my order of 2 sandwiches and “The Works” salad in under 20 mins so it wasn’t that bad IMHO). I got the Elena Ruz (turkey, cream cheese, strawberry preserves, on griddled baguette) and it was a nice interesting flavor, but could have used more cream cheese and more preserves; didn’t feel like it had the right ratio though I enjoyed it. Also got a rare roast beef (they serve it with boison cheese and mustard) and it was…. Ok. The baguette wasn’t griddled and it probably should be, and again the ratios of the ingredients felt off, because I enjoyed the taste but it didn’t wow me. I had the *thinnest* spread of the cheese, and I think really slathering that on could create a really good (and unique) taste. What I got was just an ok roast beef sandwich. Nothing special, but the potential is there with both these sandwiches.
I also got The Chef Salad with “the works” (Bed of very good/fresh mixed greens that were topped with two giant “rolls” of turkey, ham, roast beef, cheddar, and Swiss) and then a healthy scoop of egg salad) and…. Not sure this really works as a salad. But as a *series* of meals, it was pretty darn good and *very economical*…. If you go buy some bread or rolls, because I couldn’t imagine cutting this all up and mixing it together for a salad, but I took it home and made about 6 different good-sized sandwiches from what this comes with and I’d highly recommend stretching your dollar that way.

The Ruben sandwich I had was good. My husband had the Muffaletta. He said it was good. However, it came with an olive/ artichoke tappenade. My husband didn’t know if he would like it and wanted it on the side so he could try it before putting it all over his sandwich. The man at the counter said if he didn’t want it, he’d just take it off. I asked about the side so he could try it first. He reiterated that he would just take it off. He seemed a little irritated that we would make changes to a sandwich. The service was okay. The atmosphere was quiet, larger inside than it assists from the street, but very, very, dated.

Absolutely delicious! A true authentic New York–style deli. The sandwiches are huge and packed with flavor. All the sides looked amazing (I didn’t get one this time), but I’ll definitely try them next visit. We grabbed our food to go and had a picnic at the park—it was perfect. A must-try sandwich shop!

Super good sandwiches, soups, and cookies. The muffaletta sandwich was the best I’ve had anywhere! It was like $14 but completely worth it. The lemon chicken orzo soup was only $5 and it came with homemade croutons and a pickle, plus the serving size was very generous. Huge selection of soft drinks and chips too. It definitely gives off hole in the wall vibes, but it’s some of the best food in Chattanooga!

I’ve lived in the north shore for about 10 years now, and this place has never disappointed. Just had the best bahn mi i’ve ever had, and it was the last one of the day. This place has something most restaurants lack nowadays, the “always” piece. They are always happy to see you, always kind, always attentive, always quick, and always hardworking. This place epitomizes hard work and dedication to craft. Also, you can speak up to Bruce, I did it once and I’m still alive!

One of the BEST long standing #HoleIntheWall #Local delis!!
The flavor palette is well cured, meats are delicious, the jalapeño chips went well with my daily special (Shout out to the chip recommendation of Jaelyn who was charming and she made my day)!
Bruce is the personality I look forward to seeing.
