This is a cute fast food place. Nicely decorated. The wings were good, but the fries weren’t seasoned. My daughter had the tenders and hated them. They weren’t seasoned either, which shocked me. The drink and rice krispy treat was huge! The drink was tasty, but the treat was disappointing. We tried to play Connect Four, but it was missing the bottom (that catches the pieces).

I recently purchased a two-piece whole catfish, and upon returning home, I noticed the belly appeared old and had a yellowish tint. Out of concern for freshness, I chose not to eat it.
When I contacted the restaurant, I was advised (by the kitchen manager) to keep the fish and bring it back during my next visit for a replacement. I found this response concerning, as it doesn’t align with proper food safety or customer service standards. As a restaurant owner myself, I would never tell a customer to hold on to old food.
I value accountability and professionalism in this industry, but after this experience, I won’t be visiting again. ( the cashier was nice an professional )

We ordered wings for our UGA watch party every Saturday for several years from this location. The wings are always large tender and well-seasoned they have a plethora of other items that are all so good. On the rare occasion they do make a mistake they fix it immediately. I highly recommend this place

5 stars for the food. If you like fried whole catfish you’ll love it. Not much on atmosphere. The food is so good I don’t care. Strawberry shortcake is awesome if you don’t mind stuffing yourself. A lot of their customers get their food to go. When I eat there I have to wait 5 minutes for the food to cool down to eat it. Good stuff though.

The lemon pepper Gizzards are so good. Fried perfectly. I will definitely be returning. Only thing I didn’t like was waiting for almost 20 minutes when I was told it would be ready in 5 minutes.

Only place I know that will stare at you in the drive through then walk off. If there’s no urgency with drive through orders close it off.
We also would always order honey lemon pepper but they decided to randomly start up charging even though honey hot is an option on the menu. They also forget our drinks very often. Really disappointed with the greed, degrading quality and lack of urgency.

The fish was bland .. The catfish was put in some flour and deep fried without any seasoning. The cooks were not wearing gloves. The cashier was very slow in ringing up order even though she had help. They charge for everything. This was my 1st visit.

First time eating at River & Roost. Had the 2 piece catfish meal with fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies. Topped it off with some good old southern sweet tea. Small place with dine in tables. Order at the counter, take it to go, drive through or eat in. Staff was very friendly and enjoyed chatting with them. Food was delicious and fresh. Would definitely go back next time in Georgia.
