Visited a few weeks ago on a Saturday and had the best time every, a real Wimberley gem. It’s off the Square but super close – perfect if you want a break from parking and crowds. We stayed long enough to hear some of the live music. Not gonna lie, it was the perfect way to cap the day.
We sat at the bar and were able to order food from the BBQ joint inside. Chop brisket was great but we absolutely loved the sides, especially the braised cabbage and the mac & cheese.
Cocktails were good and not just a rinse-and-repeat of the margs and ranch waters you find on the Square. Bartenders were super nice and kept things fun. The place is dog-friendly, so Ranger was able to hang with us while we enjoyed things. If you got kids, there’s a play area, so thumbs up for that.
The overall vibe is laid back and had a nice mixture of locals and tourists. Tons of parking (unlike the Square) so no stress there. Maybe a 2 minute drive, so quick and easy to get to.
We’ll be coming back the next time we’re in Wimberley.
