Great place for dinner after boating. Service was fantastic, you can tell the workers are working hard. Very clean and modern inside. 1/2 high top “bar-ish/pub” style dining areas and 1/2 booth table style area. Plenty of TVs to watch while waiting.

Our group of ten had dinner at the River Rat on January 28. One person had Jimmy’s baked spaghetti. He said it was the best he ever had. Several had the steaks and fish. Everyone was pleased. Large portions and tasty food. Server was excellent and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Our whole group loved their entrees! Steak bites were cooked med! The ribs were great. My husband loved his burger. The favorite side ordered was the Mac and Cheese and salad. Others at the table ordered salmon, spaghetti, and shrimp.

I go to River Rat often and the experience is consistently solid every single time. I rate every restaurant and bar on four things: atmosphere, service, quality of food, and price. River Rat delivers across the board. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy to settle into, the service is always friendly and on point, the food comes out fresh and full of flavor, and the prices are more than fair for what you get. This is the second time I’ve been here and the food is amazing I got the maple bourbon steak with Mac and cheese and a salad. Cheesey bread bites for the starter. And an espresso martini. All amazing food!! Last time i was here I also got the oyster Rockefeller, also very good. The service was great as well. I will for sure be back!!!

Our dinner club had a great time! Contrary to its name, it’s not located ON the river, but near a marina entrance. We sat outside and it was nice. The sunset was a bit blinding and they didn’t have any shade options. The food was on the pricier side, but overall good!

Went for the first time on 8.23.24. We thoroughly enjoyed our walleye and cod dinners so we went back again on 8.25 and again, enjoyed our meals (prime rib med rare, and eggplant parmesan). The broccoli was also delish and cooked to perfection, not mushy like some places serve. Same for the green beans, they were perfect also. Definitely going to be one of our regular go-tos now. Also liked our server, Gary
Update – Went back again 8/30, and got Gary again for our Server Decided to try the Perch dinner this time and wow, was the best I’ve had, and I’ve tried the perch in many many restaurants – the batter didn’t fall off, it was perfectly cooked! As was the broccoli and rice. Partner went with the eggplant parmesan for a 2nd time and said it was perfect also. Love a restaurant that is consistent!!!! And oh, the cheesecake is smooth and delish! Thank you chef!! And to Gary! We WILL be back – and will be recommending!

I had to try walleye while visiting Michigan. They did not disappoint. Nicely battered and fried with great house santa anna potatoes (scalloped) and decent sized side salad. The salad also had cranberries in it. ( I added the pepper on the salad) And a bonus of soft roll and bread sticks comes with the meal. A very busy restaurant and for good reason they serve excellent food. You will not go away hungry

Went to dinner with the family here! The food was good, I loved my parmigiana and potato crusted cod. My mom got the spinach feta cod, she liked it but wished the spinach and feta was on the side because the crusted cod got a bit soggy. My husband ordered the parmigiana chicken with spaghetti.
