The service was absolutely exceptional and the manager Jake was a pleasure to work with and helped to make the event seamless. Our server Dana anticipated every need without ever being intrusive, and made each of us feel like VIP guests. The food was outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The cocktails were creative and delicious and the pacing of the meal was spot on, so we could enjoy the night without feeling rushed.
What stood out most, though, was the atmosphere. The restaurant created the perfect backdrop for laughter, conversation, and celebration. Everyone in our group left raving about not just the food and drinks, but the overall experience.
If you’re looking for a place to host a private party, a girls’ night out, or any special gathering, I can’t recommend the Winston Room highly enough. They made our night unforgettable, and we’ll definitely be back!
The food was amazing — warm bread with soft butter to start, then my dad and brother shared the Porterhouse for Two with Pommes Frites, while my mom and I shared the Ratatouille. Both were so delicious, and I also loved the margarita. For dessert we ordered a slice of cake, and the team made it extra special by bringing it out with a candle so we could celebrate properly.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made us feel truly taken care of. Such a memorable night with great food and even better hospitality — we would love to be back!
River Pointe Inn is perfection – and I don’t use that word lightly. The craft cocktail menu is truly unique (best martini I’ve ever had), and the food menu is perfectly balanced. Each and every item we tried was better than the next, and I love how they’re getting all their oysters local in NJ.
The only thing that surpassed the cocktails and the food was the service. Warm friendly smiles, knowledgeable servers, an awesome sommelier – you can tell the staff was trained right and they truly care about making diners happy.
Is it expensive yes – is it worth EVERY single penny compared to most other cookie-cutter restaurants in our area – heck yes!
This is a splurge for me.
Drinks from the specialty menu were beautifully presented and well balanced. My “kids” always choose the burger, ♀️ They just like it here….. and the impeccable fries, dipping sauce. As a vegetarian, I chose the ratatouille. It was so pretty, but after the fabulous chickpea app, I expected less monotony. I just know you’ll find us a better option. Wonderful chef. *
Appreciate River Pointe for their impeccable staff, beautiful atmosphere and warmth.
All good things to you and anyone who walks through your door.
We just celebrated our anniversary, and the moment we arrived at the table, a lovely “Happy Anniversary” plaque was waiting for us — a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. And if that weren’t enough, add in the wonderful sommelier Michael, whose passion and knowledge took an exceptional night to another level!! ❤️
The service was exceptional from start to finish from the hostess, to our server, to the sommelier. The food was fantastic, but what truly stood out was the level of service. It made the entire experience feel thoughtful, personal, and memorable.
For appetizers, we ordered the bread service and oysters. The baguette couldn’t compare to the real thing in France, but it was decent. The oysters were wonderfully fresh — we ordered a half dozen, but the kitchen mistakenly brought a full dozen. They immediately noticed the error and only charged us for the half, which we appreciated.
For our main courses, we had the Moules Frites and Paillard. The chicken was tender and flavorful, while the mussels were exceptional — every single one was fresh, open, and infused with the aroma of tarragon, garlic, and shallots. It’s rare to see all mussels cooked perfectly like that; I enjoyed every one of them.
For dessert, everything is house-made except the ice cream. We tried the Cheesecake Charlemagne and the Banana Split, and both were good.
