They have decently large tap list – a beer for everyone including sours and NAs. I ordered the River Pig Pilsner and it was nice and light, nothing special though (but what do you expect out of a Pilsner). My husband ordered the Bells Oberon Wheat Ale and it was delicious, although not an in-house brew.
We also ordered wings with the dry rub and they were great – the rub was very flavorful and a bit spicy. The other menu items looked good but we just needed a snack.
Honestly shocked this place was not more crowded. There is a TON of seating inside and outside and the vibes are great. I will be back!
We ordered some wings and fries, and they were just right—crispy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice. I tried a drink called the Fresh Press, and it was delicious—refreshing, with a great balance of flavors. The service was friendly and quick, even with the weekend crowd.
If you’re looking for a fun spot with good food, tasty drinks, and a lively vibe, River Pig is definitely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!
Serive is great and so is the food
Service: 10/10
The service was good and staff was kind! So at least they have that going for them.
Drinks: 1/10
I ordered the”Mezzacali” cocktail and it was one of the worse drinks I’ve ever had. Tasted like old syrup with a hint of mezcal. Like it was overly disgustingly sweet. I wasn’t going to finish it after the first sip, but mama didn’t raise a quitter. So I ended up chugging it at the end & regretted everything.
Food: 2/10
My friend and I split the jalapeño poppers, hells canyon drumsticks, birria tacos, and the spicy chicken sandwich.
The drumsticks were the best thing we had.
The birria tacos had no flavor and the meat was dry.
The spicy chicken sandwich had zero spice and was extremely mid. The bread was hard and it just was not great. However the curly fries were a 10/10 the superstar of the whole meal.
Unfortunately, I won’t be back for the food or a cocktail. Just vibes only I guess
Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere (to watch the Women’s March Madness game) but I’ll go back to try more food.
I’m also trying to remember the location in Portland but it’s escaping my brain but be mindful that VooDoo Donuts is right down the street so if you need a taste of Oregon, this strip in Lower Greenville will take care of you!
But the sandwich wasn’t very tasty, unfortunately. The chicken pieces smelled very chickeny! And the bun didn’t taste or feel very fresh tbh. It was just not a very tasty chicken sandwich/ Burger and not spicy at all…
