Pretty busy spot! They managed to squeeze us in. I had the fried green tomato salad and it was delicious! I added a crab cake, but perhaps wouldn’t again as I think they’re much better with chow!

Location is everything. The food is okay. I got the beer pretzel with cheese dip. This was about the cheapest thing on the menu. Other restaurants in downtown Savannah have better prices, but you’re paying for a view of the river and the convenience of being on River Street. (Due to COVID there are still staffing issues, so finding ANY place to eat is a huge win.)

While visiting Savannah we ate at the River House. The fried green tomatoes were the best. My husband had the Fried Chicken. It was moist and crunchy. The Collard greens were good too. The Mac n cheese was bland and way over cooked. I had the French Onion soup it had great flavor but came to the table lunk warm. The Cesar salad was different. My fault for not reading it completely. It had bacon (too much) and also great onions. Our server was friendly but very slow (she only had 2-3 tables).

Recently visited River House and had a wonderful experience there. Although they were short and understaffed, the team who was working were making things happen. My server Brenn , was on her third double of the week. The cocktails were done well and I had the best Mahi Mahi sandwich I believe I have ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly, the right amount of slaw you name it!
