This a local grill with the mix vibe of sports bar, and diner. Simple decor, rustic atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Foods we ordered were surprisingly tasty. We liked the crab dip, flat bread, wings, and mac n cheese. Especially the mac n cheese was very savory.

Experienced a little lagging in service. Waited for a long time for some hot sauce and couple other things we asked for. Ended up asking a different server to get what we wanted. Also like to note, we went for an early dinner around 4pm, so the restaurant was not busy at all. Therefore , we did not understand what the waitress was so busy for…???

Pricing is reasonable. Convenient location. Ample parking.

Haven’t been here in a while but found it to be a nice cozy place to have indoor or outdoor eating with a decent amount of choices from their menu.
Service was prompt and they were very nice. Specials of the day were discussed and an exchange in our salad to switch the greens used was easily accommodated.
Unfortunately, we were hungry and I was delayed in taking a picture of the crab artichoke dip which was tasty with several slices of Parmesan crostini to share. We split the freshly made Kale Waldorf, exchanging the kale for Romaine lettuce and the toppings were generous. There was a nice raspberry flavored vinaigrette to top it all off.

Kayla was our server, she was very accommodating and nice! The food was very good we had the wings, crab dip, ahi tuna and everything was piping hot when it came out. This is a good spot for date night or a midweek hangout. Cocktails were great as well

I had the Black & Bleu Burger which was cooked and seasoned to perfection! It had bacon strips and bleu cheese crumbles on it. It was also the largest burger patty I’ve had and I thought it was well priced for its size. I also ordered the creamed kale which was a great surprise — with a garlicky alfredo-like sauce that had me craving for more! There were four of us at our table and everyone was very happy with their meals. The service was friendly and professional too. Will definitely become a regular.

We did a appetizers. Tiny tiny over cooked deep fried wings that were smaller than a quail. It was nibbling on bark. Cream of Crab that was very thin, a few strands of crab with a strong taste I can only describe as a celery taste; It was not good. Maybe G&M or Olive Grove can teach them quality Cream of Crab. Steak strips were tasty and tender. Crab dip was good but the brick hard bread was terrible. You couldn’t bite it. It crumbled into pieces and dropped all over the plate. Stale bread is not enjoyable. Our server was pleasant and tentative. The atmosphere is very nice and casual

Had dinner at River Hill Grill and the food did not disappoint. The grilled chicken pasta was flavorful and perfectly cooked, with a rich, creamy sauce that paired nicely with the garlic toast. The crab cakes were packed with meat and had great seasoning, and the fries were crisp and hot. We also had the buffalo shrimp bites as a starter—tender, well-sauced, and topped with fresh scallions. And the sangria? Easily one of the highlights—refreshing and not overly sweet, with a good balance of fruit and wine.

The restaurant appeared clean overall, and the bathroom was well-kept. Management was friendly and even came by to check in, which was appreciated.

That said, the experience was brought down by the front-of-house staff. Employees near the entrance were loudly chatting about personal matters, and it carried all the way to where we were seated. It felt unprofessional and disrupted the otherwise nice ambiance. Also, while the tables looked clean, they felt sticky to the touch, which was off-putting. Another note—the background music was almost nonexistent in our area, making the environment feel a bit flat and awkward at times.

River Hill Grill has solid food and potential for a great dining experience, but a bit more attention to the front staff behavior and ambiance would make a big difference.

We had a party of 19 on a Saturday night and River Hill Grill handled it like absolute pros.

We called at 6:30 and our table was ready by 6:35. That alone deserves a moment. The group was 8 adults and 11 boys ages 2–12, aka peak chaos. Endless energy, constant movement, sodas disappearing at Olympic speed while the adults ordered beers and dinner.

Our server Jacob was next-level. Calm, unbothered, and genuinely friendly. He never once seemed frazzled, even while handling other tables. Every order came out correct, he brought extra sauces without us even asking, and he joked around with the boys in a way that kept them happy and engaged.

And for context. I was a server for 20+ years, so I don’t hand out compliments lightly. It takes a lot to impress me. Jacob really did the damn thing.

We’ve loved River Hill Grill for many years, but this night was a true stress test and they absolutely passed with flying colors. Huge shout-out to Jacob for turning what could’ve been a wild night into a smooth, enjoyable experience for everyone.

We’ll be back. And if you’re dining with kids, big groups, or both, you’re in very good hands.

Excellent food! Service, however, when we went on an early Sunday lunch was a bit off. Our waitress nearly ghosted us after we received the main courses. It took about 20-min at the end of the meal to finally get the bill after flagging her down. We asked if we could sub fried rice for one of the kids meal sides and she said yeah, but we were billed for a side of rice without any mention of the upcharge. Maybe we just visited at an off time or had a rookie server. The food, especially the chicken B.A.L.T. sandwich, was very yummy so we may return in the future to see if today’s service was an outlier.

Our first visit and, wow!! We had the guacamole appetizer. It was fresh and delicious. Chicken nachos, chicken Cobb salad, fish tacos & Mac & 5 cheese. All came out quickly, each was scrumptious! Shane was our server. He was personable and attentive. Chocolate chip bread pudding, top notch!!
