Hello friends, thanks for stopping by! We are Charlie and Renee Eich. We are a husband and wife team who proudly own River Drifters. We have been in the restaurant business most of our adult lives. We have three children ages 23, 17, and 7, who often help in the family business. We also have a one-year-old grandbaby!

Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the food itself was great. My only critiques are some of the menu choices and the pricing structure. Typically, entrées include a side, but here everything is sold separately—including drinks. They also don’t have a fountain, so all beverages are canned or bottled, meaning you can’t even get water for free, which feels slightly unreasonable.
Aside from those points, I would still recommend giving this place a try!

Such a gorgeous spot across from the river! Super friendly, speedy service, big menu, and oh my that smash burger was delicious!
We sat on the porch while watching the water, enjoying some Olympics on the TVs, and listening to Fleetwood Mac over the speakers. If you’re looking for CHILL, YUMMY, GORGEOUS VIEW … this is your spot.

What took me by surprise the most was how friendly the staff was!! Each staff member who helped us was positive and friendly, the staff was even positive and friendly with each other and seemed to be helping one another whenever they could. The food was also pretty great, I’d suggest the mozza logs and the Oklahoma smash burger!

This place is awesome. New favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. Went on a Saturday evening, UT vs MS State on the projector screen inside, and we all ordered the “Catfish and the Fixins”. We inquired as to how many pieces of catfish would come with the order, only to be met with disappointing news that it was one catfish filet. This disappointment didn’t last, as when our food arrived we realized these were no normal catfish. The catfish supplier for this eatery must be Jeremy Wade, because they brought out some River Monsters. I was the only one of the group to finish their food, and it was a mountain of a task. The pineapple slaw was delicious, and the fries are unique, but in a good way.
But that’s not the real star of the show here. The mysterious “Drifter Draft” beer is what you come here for. Untappd claims this beer is brewed by the restaurant, which I find hard to believe, but would love to be true. I’ll ask next time and update. Either way, this lager is Good, but at the end of the day, WHO CARES? It’s $2.50 a pint. That Loch Ness monster asked for tree-fiddy, and he would still have some cash leftover towards the second round! I’ll drop a tenner on the counter, gimme 4 pints, roll me out the door and I’ll drift wherever the river takes me.

My Husband and I came to Bolt Farm Treehouse for our Honeymoon. While heading to Ruby falls we passed this GEM of a spot. I knew this was where we were gonna stop for lunch! Im from a small town myself and Mom and pops Restaurants are always the best. The Food was amazing the staff was friendly and the view of the river from the outdoor seating was just what we were looking for.

We were on Holiday from Madison AL and went here 3x in 2 days!

River Drifters is a great hidden gem! The burgers are the best in Chatt. The Philly sandwich and steak tacos are so good as well. Their beer battered French fries are an extra surprise that are really good! The atmosphere is super laid back small town feel and staff are all so friendly. You should check it out!

Finally made it to River Drifters after hearing so many great things from friends — and since I live nearby, it was about time! I wanted a michelada beer (even though it’s not on their menu) and showed them my preferred recipe — they were happy to make it for me, and it turned out perfect. Absolutely delicious.
For food, I ordered the chicken burger and chicken tenders — both were packed with flavor and cooked just right. They also serve these amazing crispy potato fries on the side for chicken tenders (not sure what they’re called), but they were exactly how I like them: golden, crunchy, and perfectly salted.
On top of all that, the service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
