River Bar is a long vacation through Europe. Its waters have flowed trough the rivers of London, Paris, Lyon, Rome, Bilbao and Porto. It brought home ingredients and recipes from little bars and restaurants along these rivers. Some ancient recipes that have been passed on generations by generations. Some recipes from those who passed by from far away. River Bar serves European fare. Straddling between old- and new-fashioned, but always straight to point. Guided by quality, passion and love. We had a wonderful experience at the River bar, the little oysters as starters were delicious, then the gambas with piment d’espelette as well as the fries were very tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed and you have a beautiful view on the boats, particularly charming at sunset. The staff was professional and welcoming. It is a little pricey but the decor and the surroundings make it worthwhile We recommend it!

This is a great new addition to the Westplein area. Perched right on the Mass overlooking one of the best river-views of Rotterdam, River Bar is serving delicious dishes tapas style to be shared amongst the table. Each dish was prepared perfectly, the service was top-tier, and the atmosphere was perfect for an evening of dining out.

We had dinner on a very rainy day. What a nice restaurant can’t wait to eat there in summer at the terrace. Three weeks opened. Great service. You can see they enjoy there work and want to give you a great might. Small but nice menu. We did sharing and had a combination of Vegetarian and meat. Really nice food. We ordered the Wagyu ham, burata, tuna, potato bread, capaccio, pulpo, mussels, celeriac and ribeye. and loved it. Combined with champagne and the poully fume. We will be back!

We had a very good experience at this restaurant. We chose the chefs menu, one of us is a vegetarian. The first 2 rounds did not contain any special vegetarian dish, which was a bit dissapointing. After mentioning this to our waiter, the chef created a very tasty cauliflower steak dish. We were very pleasantly surprised at this level of service. Combined with the (rest of) the good food, and the attentive staff made for a very pleasant evening. We will be back.
