Ordered Mac n cheese bites, menu changed so they couldn’t do jalapeno popper dip… got the chicken avocado club and the Cesar salad. Mac n cheese tastes like kraft with breading. Daughter enjoyed the club and my salad for $16 was lack luster. I think they fried the chicken pieces and was placed in styrofoam.

I know this is a new place, so I didn’t expect the food to be standout. But, I was actually quite pleasantly surprised. The food really was quite great. Much better, in my opinion, than the restaurant that used to be here (Walnut Grill). I had the fish and chips with ranch and the brownie works for dessert.
The fish and chips was really good. The fish was crispy and still moist on the inside. Good amount of breading. A little soggy in a few spots but could have been delivery. Seasoning was okay. It also came with fries, which were a generous portion and good in their own right, and coleslaw which was just okay (not too flavorful and a tiny portion). But the fish n chips itself was a great portion. Ranch was also good.
The brownie works dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Also a great portion, very chocolatey throughout with some nice slabs of chocolate. Wish there was a little more whipped cream to balance it.
All in all, really quite impressed with this place. Excited to see how they do in the future!

I had the hot honey wings and BBQ wings. Not unbearably hot. We had the smash burger with bacon. We had alcoholic beverage such as summer shandy Local IPA called bane of existence and a local lager called black and gold. I had a strawberry margarita. All very good. Lots of Alcohol in my margarita. I will come again! Outdoor seating and lounge area. Outside bar. For three drinks it was $25.00

We had Jim as a server, shout out to Jim because he was the best part of our experience!!!! Jim was friendly, timely, and honest and I really enjoyed his personality! There are games in this place, which makes me feel that it needs a duck machine! So I highly recommend that! Now to the not so great…. The food. The cheese sticks were alright, kind of grainy, but they were the best part of the meal. The salads that my friend and I ordered looked like they were going to be great, but they were quite the opposite. They had a lot of volume (lettuce) but I had about 4 cucumber, 4 halves of a cherry tomato, and a vinegar cole slaw that didn’t go with the flavor profile of the salad. The fries were basically McDonald’s fries, except limp and without seasoning. The steak I got on my salad was chewy, fatty, and had loads of cartilage with no seasoning. The ranch that came with the salad did taste somewhat homemade, but watered down, thin, and lacked seasoning. I enjoy their happy hour, but if the food is not good, what’s the point?

Amazing food. Service was friendly. Love that they give back to the community, like donating a portion of sales to CDTCA. Highly recommend!

I loved the food and the service. Jessica was very attentive and knowledgeable. I wasn’t thrilled that they surcharge credit card payments, but it seems to be the state of things these days. The brownie dessert was phenomenal.

Rival at The Waterworks is so much fun. The vibe is excellent. The remodel (from the former restaurant) is beautiful. Kudos to the owner, who stopped by our table to check in. He was very friendly and welcoming, seemed like a great guy.
The menu is great with traditional sports bar options and some unique dishes thrown in. There’s definitely something for everyone. The whole family dined out when we visited and everyone was pleased, from our 80 year old Grandma to my 8 year old son.
We shared the humongous Bavarian pretzel. Which is always a fun treat! For dinner, I had the chicken tenders and shrimp basket with fries. The fries were okay, the chicken and shrimp were delicious. The beer batter on the shrimp was so good. Everything was very fresh and tasted great. My son had a grilled cheese and Grandma had a Po’Boy with grilled shrimp that she really enjoyed.
We’ll definitely visit here again. This is a fantastic addition to The Waterworks!

We stopped at Rival Sports Bar after an outpatient test at the nearby hospital. Even though the place was very busy inside and also outside on the patio, we didn’t have to wait for a table at all. Our AMAZING server Kelli was very efficient and friendly, and informed us of the drink/Happy Hour specials, which we were grateful for, being that was our first time there. Let me just say, it most definitely won’t be our last!!! Everything we ordered was excellent!! This restaurant is the old Walnut Grille. If you have a chance to get out to Fox Chapel, you need to eat here because you will not be disappointed!! Nice variety on the menu, great music playing, and lots of TVs to watch sports on, so a very upbeat atmosphere. Have fun and enjoy – we sure did!!

This is a new restaurant in Fox Chapel that I thought I’d try. Stopped in today for Happy Hour. I had the Shrimp Tacos and fries. My food was so delicious. They also have a nice patio, games, and darts to play. Waiter was very nice.

Sports bar. Happy hour on Weds afternoon. Not very busy, sat at bar. Bartender was great, Cucumber Martini on special was very tasty.
Shotgun shrimp app was awesome. Came with slaw that paired very well with shrimp/sauce.
Cheese steak on special that day. Was very avg. Meat did not fill the bun. Tasted avg. Would not order again. Ordered onion rings as side…got fries. Eventually brought onion rings….that were all stuck together in one huge conglomeration. Fries were very good, though.
Solid 2.5 / 5
