To me this is a typical tourist trap. Overpriced low quality meals. I’d avoid this place.

Didn’t take a picture of the fried seafood because we sent it back to the kitchen. It tasted awful, cooked in old oil. It was too expensive for tiny pieces of fish and shrimp, truly disappointed.

Octopus was tiny and quite dry.

Only good meal was beef strips, I enjoyed it.

The staff seems quite confrontational, argues about the food, I saw replies in reviews as well.

I was genuinely impressed by the food at this restaurant. Both seafood pastas were among the best we’ve ever had—exceptional in flavor and quality. The fish dishes were outstanding as well, offering a unique taste unlike any we’ve experienced before. The Carbonara was also well-prepared, featuring a bold and distinctive cheese flavor, though I couldn’t quite identify the specific type. Very nice Trattoria.
We were here twice because the menu is outstanding and the owner and the server are super friendly.
We’ll be back at our next stay in this amazing city.

Absolutely wonderful food and experience. The ragu parpadelle and tuna main were to die for. Best food and service in Sicily by far… The Restaurant owners son cooked for, and served us. I didnt catch his name, but I wish we had. If you are visiting syracuse or ortigia this place is a must. I am very full and happy

I stumbled on this place accidentally after a long train ride from Reggio Calabria. It was a lucky accident. I had horse meat strips with onions and potatoes. Excellent! A lot of flavor. Delicious. Red wine was pretty good as well. They pour a lot. The owner and the waiter were very nice, professional and helpful. I will definitely come back next time I am in Siracusa.

What attracted us first was when we saw the sign that tge use fresh quality food and follow recipes their nonna taught them. The atmosphere was very home like and we all felt at home. The food was amazing, we were 4 adults and 1 child and each dish was AMAZING. I was sceptical about ordering squid ink pasta but I definitely was not disappointed. Kids menu was a bonus which helped with a fussy child and also ate the entire dish. If we stayed longer we would have gone back again. The owner himself is very accommodating and has a great passion about food, his restaurant and pleasing his customers. If I remembered his name I’d mention him but I’m sure he remembers the couple of Italo-Australiani who dined there on Monday evening with our Calabrese cousins. Bravo e grazie per il limoncello.
