Rito’s Mexican Food is celebrating 45 years of business this year and we could not be more excited about the future as a company. What began as a neighborhood convenience store within the Garfield Historic Neighborhood quickly found itself selling more burritos and tacos from its limited to go only kitchen, than grocery goods. To that end, Rito and Rosemary Salinas decided to pivot the Rito’s concept into a take out only Mexican Food establishment that has served the Valley Of The Sun time honored family recipes spanning generations. Like a true family owned business Charlotte works along side her sister, nieces, nephews, sons and long time staff some of whom have been with the company over 30 years.
No-frills, cash-only take-out spot featuring a menu of burritos, chimichangas & other Mexican eats.

Rito’s has been in my life for at least 10-12 years now love it! When ever I come visit my family here in Phoenix, Rito’s on Garfield st. Is one of the first places I come to eat my favorite Red mix burrito enchilada style. The best place ever ..thank you for keeping it real Rito’s! 100% recommend!

Eat here once and you will want to come back as often as you can. I had the Red burrito and it was so good. The spice was great, but still let all the flavors shine through. The meat was tender and flavorful.

This is not an easy review to contribute because I have been a long time customer and the food has been good in the past at Rito’s Garfield. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. I ordered a green chili burrito online on 12/6/24. Toward the end of my last few bites I noticed something of a reddish color. At closer look, it was RAW MEAT. I’m not sure how this possibly could have happened accidentally, but I will not be ordering from here again.

I can’t say enough about the kindness of I know. I’m gonna say her name wrong. But she’s in the front-running the cash register. Today is the 30th and we went there about 12 30 0 gosh her name was a Japanese name. And I don’t know how to pronounce it.But sure, you know who i’m talking to?I love your attitude. You have such a kind heart. It’s a blessing to have you there working for this business, you bring a joy, just as customers. Walk in, you have the visor on, and you’re a blessing. And the food is great as well. But her attitude is the best. And I’m sorry. I don’t remember how to pronounce your name. But shorty
you know how i’m talking about you that runs the cash register in the front.I love your spirits and your attitude

Me and my brother stopped here and each had a red chili burrito. No flavor in the red chili. Missing seasoning. It could just have been a bad day when we went.
I’m sure if I’m in the area i may give it a try again. The people are kind and friendly and i know they work hard. Not everyone can cook like my Mom,lol.
Go check it out and see what you think. This is just my opinion.

I have been eating at Ritos on Garfield for over 30 years and loved it. For many, many years it has been the best Mexican food in Phoenix But in the last 5 years and yesterday 1/9/26 it is horribly SALTY. It is unbearable to chew and enjoy it. Please not so “HEAVY HANDED ON THE SALT”.

Red Chile is just to watery, could make the chile juice with just a bit more corn starch, so it wont be leaking through the tortilla like a faucet….might as well put it in a soup bowl…BUT definitely is flavorful and delicious on its own!!! Also, paid alot more than El Norteño, which my FAVORITE Place for a Red Chile Burrito…also, way better price!!!

This place is very small, it has no indoor seating, but there are seats and tables in the patio around the corner. That said, as soon as you enter this restaurant, the aromas of high-end cuisine permeate your soul. Everything in the menu is delicious especially their green chile burritos.

Authentic!! It’s like Nana is in the kitchen cooking, you won’t find better Mexican food!! It’s amazing. Not ideal for large groups or parties. It’s more of a takeout place, and the area isn’t the best. It’s a joke in the wall but my gooooodness the delicious food makes up for it!
We ordered a green chili burrito (enchilada style) rice, beans and shredded beef tacos! AMAZING!!!!!!!!
