Just went tonight my wife, and we each got a concrete. Mine was the chocoholic and my wife was cookies and cream. Only one size is offer at $9.75 each before tip. Both were only 3/4 full. Both were runny and not good. The chocoholic was half filled with mini chocolate chips. Worst ever. Makes Dairy Queen look like the Ritz Carlton of ice cream stores.

We were due for a sweet treat, so I surprised my family with a visit to Rita’s! I enjoyed my small frozen custard sundae with double rainbow sprinkles, chocolate fudge and a cherry! I had decided to forgo the whipped cream this time.
It was the perfect way to complete our evening as we walked over the see the beach just after high tide with our frozen custard in hand! Thanks Rita’s!

ordered the large sundae which came with a cherry, whipped cream and two choices of toppings. the frozen custard was delicious, smooth, not too fat, but still very tasty. they were very generous with the toppings (almost too generous). we ate all three on one sundae, so the size of portion was more than adequate for the price. I’m not giving 5 stars because the service was somewhat slow and not too friendly and I was expecting a little bit more choices of frozen custard. but still a great place close to the beach and good quality product.

This place is unique in how they combine shaved ice and custard style ice cream together to blend a creative flavor and texture. The service at this one was quite poor but they did have a “now hiring ” sign on the window. Hopefully they get that figured out as I waited almost 20 minutes for a simple chocolate milkshake that I ordered. The parking lot is quite tight so be careful parking and pulling out. The atmosphere is nothing to be desired and only one umbrella covered table to sit down at. Now as far as my milkshake, it was phenomenal and recommend to at least try Rita’s with all of their different flavors and mixes that you can create.

Rita’s is just a fantastic stop in the middle of a hot day in St. Augustine. Our family had several Italian Ice flavors, a milkshake, and a concrete mixer. Everyone was happy with what they got, and prices were very reasonable. We will be back!
