I’ve been a long time customer of the Penn Hills store and had been excited about this new Monroeville location. Today my wife and I went in as soon as the store opened at 12pm and the individual working disappeared into the backroom. After waiting and getting more annoyed by the second – as the store’s DoorDash alarm rang out incessantly – we finally decided to just leave. The worker reappeared as we were leaving, but we were both too pissed off to bother ordering at that point. Very disappointing experience.

A new walk in Rita’s has opened in Monroeville in the Elmer’s Aquarium strip. It is not an eat in, but a walk in. Same owner from Penn Hills Rita’s and same great quality Italian ice and custard with additional custard flavors.

Love Rita’s! So happy they are in Monroeville now! Very clean inside and the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. And of course it was delicious! Hope to see this place in business for a long time, will definitely be telling my friends they are open now and will be back soon for more!

Stopped in tonight. The woman working was extremely friendly. Some great flavors I haven’t seen at other stores. Happy to have the shop nearby! They do close in 9 days for winter but will be open again in February!
