Yummmmmm. The staff are very friendly and fun to chat with. I had the concrete. Peanut butter Reese’s mudslide. OMG!!!! Yumm I had the large and just made it my dinner for the night. Creamy and delicious and chalked full of all the ingredients listed. Plus a nice hot fudge center. Did I say yummmmm??

i had a large custard and it was extremely good! The texture, flavor, and everything else about it was perfect. The manager is extremely kind and made my day. This place deserves way more people! If you want a good treat this is the best place to go. The manager’s son who also works there is also super kind. We talked for a few minutes and we had a great time enjoying our ice cream and a conversation with the manager and his son. The manager and his son are the kindest people we ever met at any buisness.

It is early spring. It’s a warm day. I know this location just opened for the season. That being said, this location needs new management. What kind of manager for a Rita’s doesn’t look at the weather and order accordingly? If I was a Rita’s manager and saw an early March day that was going to be in the 70s, I’d make sure my inventory on hand is more than usual because of the weather. My wife and I went to this location after work looking for a sweet treat and to get out in the warm spring weather. We roll up to the drive thru and there is a sign that there is no custard, just ice products. At that point, 2/3 of the menu is unavailable because the custard isn’t available. I am incredibly disappointed.

I’ve been making it a habit to stop here when I’m in hermitage. The texture of the custard is satisfying, and I’m obsessed with the chocolate… and I don’t like chocolate much. I recently tried the strawberry chocolate gelati, which was layers of custard and Italian ice. I was skeptical, but trying something new with my boyfriend’s son. He went with the 5 layer, and picky him ate every flavor. A nice find, and fairly priced for what you get.

I just don’t like their custard at all, it’s soft-serve like and is super bland tasting regardless of how you order it or what toppings are added. For me I’d prefer local fresh custard from Fourbush or Hanks if you’re willing to make the trip. Rita’s always disappoints for me and the staff is less than stellar.

Absolutely delicious frozen custard and Italian ice. It’s so rich it’s hard to eat a large, I wait for Rita’s to open up every year now. It is my go to spot for soft serve ice cream, or custard in this case but it is absolutely worth trying if you have never had it. You will be coming back again and again I promise
