PNW Mocha and Banana bread
Banana bread was nice of course, but I just want to talk about the PNW Mocha:
For the first time in my life, I had a taste of how people enjoy finer things in life. I can’t and don’t drink because I am allergic to alcohol (sick before drink) so I never understood how people enjoy their drinks.
That was…until I had a slip of PNW Mocha: white chocolate, raspberry and vanilla – this is what “Fine”, as in “Finer things in life” – tasted like.
I might be a bit overdramatic, but after my first PNW Mocha, I always get myself a cup of water…a chaser if you will. The taste is just too good to simply be gulped away.

We visit Mount Vernon often and this is definitely our favorite coffee shop. The coffee is awesome and the staff are always friendly. However, we’ve stopped by 2-3 times right when they open on Saturdays and the shop is closed with no sign of any employees inside. As much as we love the coffee, it’s a bummer when we’ve stopped by early in the morning.

We stopped by this coffee shop as we went through town, and it was delightful! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was chill and comfy. The coffee was great and we enjoyed sitting and reading.

The perfect quaint coffee shop vibe. Amazing coffee, but even better vibes. I just wanted to sit and read a book for hours. Sadly I can’t read. So I just listened to smut books on audible. Baristas were very kind and helpful. Bathrooms clean. I loved every minute.

This place serves real, traditional espresso and coffee. I got a cortado and my wife got a London fog tea which was very tasty. We got a breakfast bagel sandwich as well.. in my opinion it was very comparable if not better than whidbey island bagel factory itself. I was very pleased with my visit Saturday morning. Employees were kind. The back counter was clean. I was surprised to see they offered wine and craft beer in the later hours. I will definitely be coming back to this place when I don’t want to make coffee at home!

Cool concept – a lounge where you can get both coffee and a glass of wine. The walls are decorated with local art – all for sale and the prices are not too steep.
The cider and coffee were good. The charcuterie board was a good snack for the cider.

Good coffee, low-key/friendly vibe, and decent sandwiches in what is clearly a local fave hangout. Around these parts, it seems well established that the food items take longer to make, and that one should enjoy the art and architecture while you wait. Don’t come in here expecting the rapidity of a fast-food joint. They have meat, but offer up non-meat items without your even having to ask. I didn’t see any plastic with our meal, and they seemed willing to take out reusable mugs. They did have plastic straws but not sure if they’re compostable.

I stopped by there and really liked the location, and the food and coffee were good. Unfortunately, the customer service left a negative impression. Smiles and thank-yous were lacking, and I felt more like an inconvenience than a customer-especially from the staff member who was there as the cafe was about to close. With just a bit more friendliness and basic customer service, this place could be so much better.
