Excellent dining experience.
Service was top tier, also the flavors were excellent. Well balanced and delicious.
The wine recommendation was the perfect choice for our meal.
The deconstructed tiramisu was one of the most creative dishes I’ve had in Italy and by far the most unique during many trips to Florence.

How this restaurant isn’t busier is a wonder?! A family run restaurant with the parents, front of house, so warming and inviting with their son delivering the amazing menu from the kitchen! The food was on point and they also catered for my wife’s gluten-free accommodations…..let it be known for a non glutard the GF focaccia was to die for!
The meal was a marvellous take on great Italian food!
Do not forget to say hi to their puppy on the way in

This family owned restaurant was a beautiful evening out in Florence. We were welcomed at the Wine Window and after looking at the menu we decided our dinner night out would be the best option here. We were greeted with warmth, love and laughter. My fiance and I are new to fine dining, but Teresa was helpful; with further guidance on drinks from her husband Nicola. The chef, her sons, were phenomenal. If you are looking for a family-oriented night full of love and understanding; this is the place. The food was as beautiful as the staff. What a 10/10 experience and we cannot speak enough about the entire experience. Thank you to the family and thank you to Florence for sharing your love to us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this intimate restaurant last night. We opted for the a la carte menu and for fish only, and they kindly recommended good wine pairings with each course. The food was delicate and delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the scallops. The service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Florence. Regardless of the item you order it will be beautifully presented and absolutely fantastic. The menu is very extensive offering both sea and land items. Service is impeccable. Family owned and run! Tucked in a small Piazza, but easily findable. And, they have a wine window, which is great fun

Trust me, whether the freshness of the ingredients or the service, it is definitely a Michelin-level experience! This is not a big restaurant, so the owner can take very good care of every guest. And they have also good selection of wine, you can tell they really care about the Italian cuisine and hospitality. In short, if you want to have a perfect dining experience in Florence and you also like seafood, you must come here!

We chose this restaurant for a special birthday for me above many others in Florence. Our choice – made whilst still in Scotland – was based on the Puglian ethos of excellence – eloquently described on the website. A young up and coming chef & a newer restaurant to the wealth of more established Florentine cusine in the city piqued our interest. The promise of a special experience & food to equal Michelin star restaurants at home had us all quite excited. We were a party of six – our adult children joining us in Florence. The experience was disappointing from the start. No internal atmosphere & an amouse bouche that told of texture without taste. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wines were all delicious; however none of us could say that they paired with the Land or Sea menus. We all puzzled over why the Sea tasting menu & Land tasting menu were both given the same wines! The beef tartare were all practically frozen & not chopped fine enough. Thereafter; each dish looked beautiful but lacked seasoning & depth of flavour. All style over substance & the desserts had clearly been made well in advance and were over-refrigerated confections of sugary artristy without flavour. Of further annoyance was the constant cleaning up with a mini brush & shovel around each diner by the male patron! So intrusive & over formalised. If this had not been a special occasion we would have complained but it was the actual day of my birthday & I didn’t want to make issue. I paid. I tipped but I won’t be back. The Chef is obviously skilled but lacks experience. He needs to get out there and eat to find a palate worthy of the price tag of this place.

Easily THE BEST restaurant in Florence, you are served by the owners and their sons cook for you. The flavors are incomparables and also great quality ingredients, you can taste and feel the love in everything they do, a place not to miss, best by far, great italian plates with a twist, we left happy and with full bellies for right price

Creative but pricey option for dinner. This restaurant was not a great match for us.

We ordered two firsts and two seconds. There was a risotto which was amazing and some potato gnocchi that aside from looking like potatoes pieces was not noteworthy. They warned us the risotto would take at least 20 minutes though it was closer to 35 it seems.

For the mains we ordered the octopus and the lamb. The octopus was well cooked but the positron was tiny about half of one large tentacle for 25 euros. The lamb was lamb chops which we were not expecting and would not have orders. It was three very small chops maybe 3cm across on the meaty side. They were tasty but at 25 (or maybe 30) euros it was disappointing. We stopped here and left to find desert and coffee elsewhere.

The wine list was also disappointing. The glasses of wine on offer were not well rated. There are quite a few options for bottles around 30 euros but a lot of markup. Few wines that were well rated for example according to Vivino that we normally use. With so many awesome wines in Italy, they could use much better curation for quality bottles (at least for whites which we studied in more detail).

The decorations were mixed. All the tables featured a fresh rose that was sad and basically dead at this point. Depressing. The only highlight of the meal, besides the risotto, was the amazing collection of plates. So many cool and expensive little plates, different for each dish. That was great.

Maybe the restaurant is new and will improve in the coming months. I think it has the potential to be better.

UPDATE

The response from the owner is funny. I know it is frustrating to get a criticism from an American “tourist” at a “non-tourist” restaurant. I was traveling for business. I live in Europe several months of the year. I eat at fine dining restaurants all over. The simple message is that if you want to charge this much for tiny servings make it amazing. The plates are cool but the food just isn’t there. Not is the wine. Just try some of the competition. You need to do more than just buy expensive ingredients you need a chef that can back it up.

INCREDIBLE food and service! We remembered this location from a previous (pre-pandemic) visit, and happened upon it again. What a wonderful gem! The service was amazing, and the food was even better… delicious and beautifully presented.
Not having done any research (reference “happened upon”), we a) had not made a reservation and b) had not seen the menu before we got there. We were still welcomed and treated warmly and given the full experience: complimentary glass of Puglia sparkling rosé, cleansing towel and amuse-bouche. Unfortunately since we weren’t sufficiently prepared (read: hungry) we couldn’t take advantage of the chef’s tasting menu which looked amazing. We will plan better next time! All in all I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. No matter what you order it will be delicious.
