Really nice meal. The buratta was very good. It cane with roasted beets which was different (and tasty). I had the mushroom ravioli which was delicious and my wife had the shrimp scampi appetizer with a small Caesar salad. I didn’t get enough of the shrimp to comment but since a didn’t get more than a nibble from my wife, that tells you it was good. We ended with the cherry patch, which I loved. Basically a soft chocolate fudge bar with cherries in it and on top. With a coke, a glass of wine, and a cup of coffee the bill can to $104. The one down side is you have to pay for a basket of Chicago’s fococia bread. I just can’t get pay for bread at any restaurant, let alone an Italian one. Oh well.

This was our first time here. We had the meatballs to start which were served lukewarm. I had the swordfish puttanesca with polenta. It was delicious however portion size is very small. My girlfriend had the hanger steak which was cooked perfectly. Our server seemed put off. Not sure why. Prices are very high. Too many more reasonable and tasty food options around.

My husband and I absolutely loved coming here to sit at the bar and get impeccable service from Quentin. He is a true gem and was always ready to recommend the best drinks (one that ended up being our signature drink at our wedding) and food including the octopus and fresh focaccia.

Not sure if they have changed their menu since we moved out of the area, but I highly recommend stopping in at the bar!

We ordered focaccia, butternut orzotto and chicken marsala. The focaccia and orzotto were very good. We were told about the time our chicken marsala was to be served that chicken marsala was not on the menu this evening. Not that they had sold out but it was not offered this evening. It was listed on the menu. This was Saturday evening at around 7:00. The restaurant was pretty empty, now I think I know why. We can walk yo the restaurant from home and I really really want them to improve and make it

We ordered takeout last night and were disappointed in the portions. The food tasted good, but portion size was not what you’d expect for a meal. All four of us were still hungry after scraping the plates. My chicken piccata was probably 4 oz breast, with a half cup of linguine, and $26. Will try to eat in another time, but won’t take out again unless they update portions.

Our server was nice and friendly, and she was able to memorize our order without needing to write it down. However, the other lady server who brought our food was quite rude. She just like threw our food down in front of us, even though it wasn’t even busy for her to rush that much.
The food was not good and it was expensive compared to the quality. We ordered the Caprese Salad, Wild Mushroom Gnocchi, Lasagna, Spinach and Artichoke Ravioli, Shrimp Scampi, and Chicken Marsala. The Mozzarella in the Caprese tasted like it was store brought, the gnocchi was very salty, the ravioli was lacking in salt and flavor, and the lasagna had an actual burger patty in the bottom of it (which tasted like cardboard, and the cheese on it was very gamey). The only thing that was good was the shrimp scampi and the bread they gave for the table.
Atmosphere was okay, but our table was bending downwards and it felt like if we lean on it, it might accidentally might break.
Overall, it is a place where you go there once to try but that’s it.

Lidi has a new menu. I’m truly sad to say it wasn’t good. I won’t try again. DI is so desperate for good cuisine. We had to return one dish back to the kitchen, three people could not find a positive note on the ‘Crabonara’. In forty years of dining , I’ve never said a dish was not edible. The rest of the food is still very … average. While our service was solid, having tipping options of 30%, 27% and 20% was awkward. We were at Hall’s last week, had fantastic service, and saw tip machine options of 25, 22 and 20%. Just because I want (wish for) a good dining experience doesn’t make it happen. Seven items off the menu, and they were all very average, except the one mentioned above .
I’m truly sorry to write this, I hope things get better!
