The food just wasn’t good. We ordered a bbq plate and mac and cheese.
For the bbq plate: the cornbread was so dry and crumbly, the coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with no sauce, the brisket was okay but still dry, the pickles were good I guess.
The Mac and cheese had noodles that weren’t fully cooked and a broken grainy sauce.
Was not very impressed over all

Hard to locate if your looking for the rising tide bbq sign. Drove past once, you need to actually look for The Food Shack. The restaurant has 2 menus. Ordered the brisket sandwich. Good flavor and tender. Their fries are interesting. Shaped different. Seating inside is limited to 6 tables. But they have an outdoor patio. Wasn’t a fan of their coleslaw

Truly a gem. Seed oil free, clean ingredients, scratch made food which seems impossible to find. We tried many things from the Rising Tide menu and The Food Shack menu. All of it was excellent. Absolutely no complaints. The half price kid meals on Saturday is the best value in the state, if not the country. $4 for a huge bowl of clean protein, rice, beans, plantain, etc. Plenty for hungry little boys with a big appetite.

I just picked up my first official barbecue dinner from Rising Tide BBQ. I’ve been a fan of Flat Waves for years. I ordered the brisket sandwich which came with fries, bbq sauce, slaw and pickles. Needless to say, I will be having it for a second meal it was a lot of food. The brisket was amazing. It melted in your mouth. I also ordered a side of mac & cheese, and it was different than what I expected but it was good.

I’ve been dying to try the food here but was pretty bummed with the mac & cheese. I was expecting a nice cheesy sauce but instead got a grainy broken sauce. The rest of the food was pretty good but I was really looking forward to the mac.

We had another terrific takeout meal from Food Shack — a Kickin’ Sesame Chicken Salad, and a Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl. Both were incredibly fresh and well prepared. The chicken in each was perfectly cooked, and The portions were very generous.
The staff, as always, was friendly and helpful. We think it’s a great deal, and we will continue to return to the Food Shack! (The interior dining area is small and plain, but you don’t go there fore the ambience. The food is the best!)

Pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. What their rising. Added some barbecue sauce that they make. It’s good. And she had what this guy’s garden and what do they look like? Also, the chicken tacos are great.

We gave rising tides a chance. Brisket was ok. Ribs were good, and the beans were decent. As for ordering and tipping before you even get your food is awful. Our server got a nice tip, and never came by the table to ask how our food is or if we needed anything. Having the customer tip before service is not a good practice. Will not be back.

We had lunch at The Food Shack on a Friday to try some food off of their new Rising Tide BBQ menu. The brisket sandwich was just amazing! The meat was very tender & delicious and the roll was soft & fresh! The home made pickles were delicious and I loved the bits of burnt end brisket in their baked beans! We will definitely be back to try more on their specialty menu.
