Since opening the doors in 2014, Rishi has been known to have some of the best sushi the city of Columbus has to offer. Being nominated for Best Sushi 2022 by 614 NOW was an honor and it validated what we and our guests knew… our sushi staff, led by Chef Edwin, makes some AMAZING sushi! We have a large selection of Asian inspired cocktails, sake and Japanese whiskey. Our wine menu features a wide variety of wines chosen to pair perfectly with our sushi and Asian menu. I stopped by a sushi restaurant within walking distance of my hotel for a quick late-night bite. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly staff. I took a seat at the bar and quickly connected with the bartender, Brandan, who was super sweet and welcoming. I ordered my usual à la carte sashimi favorites—Salmon (Sake), Mackerel (Saba), and White Tuna (Shiro Maguro)—along with the Spider King Roll (soft-shell crab tempura). The sushi was fresh and flavorful, though the soft-shell crab was slightly over-fried, which made it difficult to taste. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

This is my go-to take out sushi spot for downtown! Everything is always tasty, comes out timely, and the staff is always friendly. I eat here at least once a month.
The only complaint I have is that the sushi portions can be unpredictable. The last few times I have went there, I have not had much fish in my sushi orders.

It’s a beautiful restaurant, modern look and feel. Overall great service and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend the Plum & Blackberry Mule, Lichi Saturn (Gin), or the Cherry Blossom (bourbon) cocktails.

In Columbus for OU parents weekend and wanted some Japanese food. The atmosphere here was great and a good selection of Japanese food favorites, including Sushi of course. It was nice to get out of the short North crowds. Would definitely come back next time we are in Columbus.

Our experience was a restaurant with a very nice atmosphere, and good service, but subpar food. Especially for the price, we expected more. The beef bulgolgi meat was not quality, and only came with onions and mostly rice. The eel and avacado roll didn’t have much eel. Lots of avacado though. Nothing tasted horrible, if the price was lowered by $5, quality of food would be worth it.

This sushi place had a beautiful dining room and great food. Their happy hour menu was changing every weekday. Monday and Tuesday had some sushi deals. Wednesday and Thursday had drinks deals. I tried their Rishi ramen and nigiri pieces. The eel nigiri was impressive with grilled bbq sauce. The squid one was mediocre. The ramen was a little bland without protein. There were spinach and mushroom, and the ramen had a good quality. My servers were great. The price was a little high. WiFi was not available.

I will begin to just say it was meh. Slightly pricey for meh stuff. I wasn’t impressed. Also it doesn’t help that my service experience wasn’t good. We came when it was empty and they seated us in a back corner where you’re not even visible. 10 mins went by and no server ever came. The glasses were dirty and had lipstick stains on them. We moved to the bar sobthey could see us and service was tenfolds better. Some people have bad days which is normal but this was my experience none theless. I’ll never go back just because the food was average. Looks great but could’ve had more flavor for the price.

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary for the first time. When we arrived, they seated us quickly and gave us our menus. They brought us out ice waters as well. Everything we ordered came out pretty fast paced and we ordered quite a few things we have been wanting to try. Everything tasted great in my opinion! Would go back again!
