For $22, expected a little more. Delving for basil and mozzarella like it’s from a uranium reserve. Ordered a side and they charged me but didn’t bring to table. Said they were out… but still charged for it. Lovely they automatically add gratuity before serving food. From the time I ordered and after eating, actually hungrier than when I started. Totally lame. Eating elsewhere next time.

Went there with a couple friends a few weeks ago. Pizza was really yummy. Price is what we expected for this style. The selections were nice. Some not so typical so they have an advantage there. I will definitely go again. Much better than the chains. (Protein,Margherita, Pepperoni)

This is a great up and coming location. You’ll find this restaurant in an old rail station along with several other small shops and local restaurants. It has a similar feel to the distillery district with half the crowd. Rise up has great hand tossed pizza with a fluffy, crispy, and tasty crust along with a bright tomato sauce and any flavor of toppings you want. Small place with a friendly atmosphere.

Listen This is the best pizza in Lexington hands down. I am OBSESSED with pizza and this is one of my all-time faves.
Quality
The artisanal quality and perfect selection of ingredients is apparent in every bite. If you like sourdough, are particular about sauce, and appreciate creative combinations – then you will love Rise Up.
Creativity
I’ve been eating here for years and have never tried a combo I didn’t like. Even when I’m weary, I try it out and am proven wrong. The owner, Matty, is truly a master at combining flavors.
Classics
I also frequently order a classic pepperoni (10/10 for crispy peps!) and margherita (the ovalini is superb). Seriously the flavors at this place can’t be beat!
Pricing and Sizing
To address the pricing and size complaints… this is a personal size, artisanal pizza restaurant. The size is perfect for one hungry person. If you’re famished, add the garlic knots.
The pricing for me is well worth it. I can’t get a sourdough crust, wood fired pizza with exceptional toppings anywhere else, so heck yeah I’ll pay the ~$15 gladly. (Includes gratuity and tax)
If you’d rather get a decent pizza elsewhere for less $ that works too but it is not a knock to this place.
Lunch special
They have a lunch special for two topping pizzas for $12 so great option for those wanting to try it out at a lower price.
Overall
I can’t get enough. Others can’t get enough. There’s clearly a cult following. Did I mention the sourdough crust? Join our cult

Tried Rise Up for Lexington Pizza Week and was not disappointed! We got the vegetarian ‘Pickle That’ special. The sourdough crust was divine, the ratio of toppings was perfect, and the smoked chili powder took the whole meal over the top. We will definitely return to this local gem!

I tried this place for the first time thanks to Lexington pizza week, and I can only describe it as simply, a level above. A friendly atmosphere, local, and certainly the best pizza in Lexington. I know that may be a bold claim with most locals considering Goodfellas as the best, I believe they just haven’t tried Rise Up yet. With pizza made right in front of you, a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting a local business there’s nothing not to love. My go to pizza place from now on!

Excellent from-scratch pizzas that go beyond your ordinary pie. A great atmosphere, solid staff, and innovative location. A favorite of locals and pizzaseurs alike. Best dough in Lexington!

This is my favorite pizza in Lexington. It’s super hard to impress me with pizza too. Had the margherita pie and it was fantastic. Dough was flavorful and the sauce had a little kick. Also had a homemade cookie that was blueberry lemon. It was fresh and just as tastey. 10/10 my new pizza spot.

Rise Up! pizza is great – the crust is a sourdough that brings some zing to the pizza without overpowering it – to me, that’s what makes this the best pizza around. It’s a thinner crust, but well-balanced with the sauce and toppings. Sauce tastes fresh, not canned, and toppings are often locally sourced. Pizza is a good size for one person, or maybe to split between 2 people as a snack. They are around $12-$13 for a pizza, which is very reasonable, given the artisan style of this quality food. The Beesting pizza is pictured – that habanero honey is amazing. Try it – you won’t be disappointed!
