Popped in for lunch the other day and was happy with the overall experience. It was a hearty amount of food for the price and the food was good, although when it comes to BBQ, I prefer the sauce to be more tangy and not quite as sweet as theirs was but that aside, there wasn’t much to complain about. I do have to mention that the fried okra and fried pickles were both amazing. The staff and management were super polite and accommodating during our visit.

Great bunch of people! Risky’s all you can eat ribs $13.99 without the $20 pay for parking in the Stockyards. We love their weekly specials especially the Thursday half chicken.

My wife and I came in and were so surprised at how amazing this restaurant is. We’ve driven by so many times never knowing what an unexpected gem this is. It’s not just great food, it’s a piece of history with so many interesting items to look at, read and gaze back on Ft Worth memories. The manager James is so personable and truly wants his customers to enjoy their food and dining experience, the whole staff is just wonderful too. My wife works for the Sheriff’s Department and he was so thoughtful and kind in his respect for officers, medical professionals and public servants, he has a unique perspective as he has been these things in his own personal history. He runs a perfect escape for a wonderful restaurant with a mom and pop feel. I wish I could give it/him a 10 star review.

Small town feel, the folks working there, they made you feel like family, I would recommend this place to anyone. Also the food was just what the doctor ordered. Also got to meet the owner, Big man ,great presence carried himself well.

New to town, we had to stop by when we saw the 4 for 5 chop beef and couldn’t resist to order other items off the menu. The food was great, the sauce was amazing, and the customer service was very patient and awesome thanks

Ordered a chopped brisket sandwich to go . When I asked if the pickles , onions and jalapeños were in the bag , I was told oh that’s an additional charge for each condiment but we put sauce in the bag for you. Paid over 14 bucks for this, I won’t be going back if you can’t put something as simple as onions , pickles and jalapeños in with a sandwhich , at 14 dollars a pop I doubt it would break you.

The green beans were placed in double containers. When I tried to remove the lid, half of the inner container came along with the lid due to having partially melted. What was left was the rest of the inner container styrofoam being melted and mixed in with the green beans as seen in the pictures. Rather than addressing the actually problem of styrofoam (indigestible plastic) melting into customer’s food, they use a bandaid solution of doubling up the container to hide the fact that the heat of the food is literally melting their cheap containers.

The pickles are very soft. Not very crunchy. The bun was squished on the fried bologna sandwich. We also got the 4 sandwiches for $5. Very good.
