Classy comfort food. Felt like somewhere between a country club and Irish pub. Had the fried pickles. Slight complaint that they arrive all clumped together, so we had to cut them apart. Fresh breaded with yummy breading that tasted like fried fish batter. My roasted beet salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. It had apples, and I had the cheese held because I don’t eat cheese, but I could imagine how it would have made it even more delicious for those who like cheese. We brought a slice of carrot cake home with us. It did not disappoint, even with a container of whipped cream and another of fresh carrot shreds to top it off. My husband enjoyed the reuben. My son, a burger.

Please explain to me how you have a to go option but when I asked to take my 3.00 daughters Shirley temple was told they don’t have to go cups. Kids rarely drink the whole drink so easy money I guess. I got the chicken sauté. The spinach and tomatoes could have been cooked longer but the chicken was cooked right not dried out the rice was good . I liked the corn bread that was brought out with honey butter a nice change. Bathrooms had water on the sinks and one door didn’t lock but overall clean. Service could have been better never refilled my boyfriend drink. Only come over once. I told him I was sharing with my daughter he didn’t bring out another plate or plates fit the bread.

Stopped at Rips Country Inn for lunch and was very pleased. I ordered the lunch special, which was a blackened steak sandwich, and it was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly! Highly recommended stopping by if you are in the area.

The liver and onion was so tender, it melted in your mouth. The cream of crab soup had so much crab meat in it, it was ridiculous. The ambiance was similar to a Cracker Barrel setting.

I really enjoyed this place with my friends. Only being picky and not giving them five stars because I really wanted their breakfast but was 15 too late. Instead I really enjoyed their fish and chips. You could really tell the effort they put into the batter. As it was one of the better fish Fry I’ve had. It’s just a good American dining experience. Nothing over the top, just good food. I can’t wait to stuff my face with pancakes next time to make up for missing them the last time. I hope I’m not disappointed.

Decent selection of wine and spirits divided into regions by country, making things a little easier to find. The spirits in another section with pretty much anything you are looking for. The restaurant area is quaint. The food is good, especially the breakfast buffet. The deli off the section with the wines is small, but surprised how good the food is for the price. Solid establishment.

We love Rips. The food is always reliably good. They have made some great updates to the menu while maintaining some of the long time favorites. We have been regulars since moving to Bowie almost 16 years ago. The bar makes delicious cocktails and we have always had friendly service.

This place was a culinary surprise. I had a beet salad that was one of the best I’d ever had. Delicious beets and beautiful greens with all the great things that go with beet Salad. I also had a crab cake sandwich and it was awesome. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us. I will eat there again when I am in that neighborhood.
