My husband and I out obsessed with ripon roadhouse!! The locals are so friendly and staff is excellent! The food is . We just recently had the special appetizer, fried chicken lamb chops, this lamb was cook with tenderness and beautifully pink. We order 3. It was that good, we also had the tomato Bisque, which was smooth, creamy good.

I was excited to try this restaurant, but after going there, I don’t think I would go back. The staff was friendly, but they were understaffed To say they were slow would be an understatement.
Being understaffed is one thing, but the quality of the food is another. Something is up with their soft drinks. I don’t know if it was soap in the glasses or what. But the soft drinks all had a funky taste even the different flavors.
It took forever for our order to get taken. And then when the food came, I was pretty disappointed in my order. I ordered the Wagyu cheeseburger which wasn’t cheap and was on like a Texas toast. The burger itself only covered about half the toast and was cut in half as you’ll see in the picture. The problem is that there was way more toast than there was burger, which is what I ordered. I didn’t just order toast. I wanted a burger. The coleslaw was very runny and I wouldn’t order that again. Overall my order wasn’t worth the price I paid this place was busy and maybe we caught it on an off day but I’m thinking that I would never go back.

Cute historic building and atmosphere. The food was decent but the service was lacking. Many servers and ours seemed distracted by them and inattentive. We ordered the potato skins that were good but a little dry. I ordered the chicken ranch sandwich that was good but my husband was not in love with the French dip aka chunky dunk. We were passing through but maybe be willing to try this place again.

We recently dined at Ripon Roadhouse, and while there were some enjoyable aspects, a few things made the experience less than ideal.
Starting with the positives, the service was great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed. It’s always nice to feel well taken care of, and the staff certainly made us feel appreciated.
The food was decent, though nothing particularly stood out. The menu offers a good variety, and while everything was cooked well, it didn’t quite have that “wow” factor. That said, it was still a satisfying meal.
Where the experience fell short for us was the atmosphere. The restaurant itself felt quite cold, making it a bit uncomfortable to sit and enjoy our meal. Additionally, the bar area was extremely loud, which made conversation difficult and took away from the overall dining experience.
That being said, if you enjoy a lively atmosphere and don’t mind a bit of noise, Ripon Roadhouse could be a good spot for a casual meal with friends. With a little improvement in temperature control and sound balance, this place could be a much more enjoyable dining destination.

Me and my bestie love to meet here on Fridays for dinner and drinks. The menu is great, lots of variety, but I always end up getting the special and it never disappoints. Our favorite behind the bar, Nicole, always makes just the right cocktail to put the week behind us. Ripon has lots of spots these days, but Ripon Roadhouse rules them all.

The restaurant space was warm and welcoming. It was full of people and of course loud because people talk. I ordered the most expensive ribeye steak on the menu. It was, in a word, disappointing. Also, I ordered a green beans side and I found at least a half dozen stems on the green beans. I told my waiter what was going on and that I was disappointed. But I was still going to pay my bill and take my food home. Apparently he told the manager, Brittany, and things went downhill from there. Brittany came over to my table and asked me” if I didn’t care for pepper, Why did I order a black pepper steak?” It was very demeaning. I wasn’t trying for a free meal or a discount or comp. I told her this. But she kept pushing. She wanted to comp me dessert or could she do something else. Finally, after all the pressure I said if she brought me a regular ribeye steak to take home and it was nice., I would say that the food was nice. She kept saying that she wanted me to tell people that the food was nice and it was a nice restaurant. I told her I wasn’t there for the money I was there for the experience. My server was awesome. The atmosphere was great. The food was underwhelming to say the least. I would not come back here again mostly because of how the manager treated me. When I wasn’t even making complaint to management. I was just venting to my server. I gave my surfer a 25% tip. I wasn’t trying to say that the kitchen’s performance reflected on his performance. He did great but the food was not worth the money.

We went on Christmas Eve morning, so we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. The food was amazing, it was gorgeous inside, but the service was terrible. It honestly wasn’t extremely busy either.. They were only checking up on us if we pulled them aside, and after would just completely forget. There was also a ton of groups waiting, even though there were open tables that just weren’t being cleaned the entire time we were there! Like I said, we understand it’s Christmas, but coming from another server, that was pretty insane. Put more people on staff during holidays like this, or just hire better people if you’re going to be open please!

My first time coming to Ripon Roadhouse and I had a great experience. Service was fantastic and the food was great. Removed one point on atmosphere because it was a bit loud, but while it was difficult to hear, it was still manageable. Really though, this type of setting is always going to be on the slightly loud side but it was still a great experience overall.
