This is a nice down-home restaurant. It is off the main drag, so not too easy to find, but worth the effort. The food and service were great. I would definitely stop by here again if I am in the area.

Nice little home-style cooking restaurant. Rib-eye was cooked perfectly, collard greens and lima beans are fresh and delicious. Others had the hamburger steak and gravy with real home made mashed potatoes. Crab cakes are lump crab with no fillers, cole slaw home made and tastes like Nanny used to make. I’m no fan of the liver & onions, but our party said it was excellent. Service was great, attentive and friendly. Definitely adding Ripley’s to our regular spots.

Got the whole hog biscuits and gravy. Good flavor, but little under temperature for our liking, and waitress checked on us, but we had eaten most of it by then. Men’s room was over fragrant. Made my eyes water. Bench seats in booth were very low and uncomfortable. Wife had shell pieces in her egg.

Overcharged by $12. Missing items, and then they argued about it. They accepted responsibility for the missing burger once they realized we did order it and they did give a slice of cake, but other meals ruined since they were room temp by the time we went back for the burger. 3 entrées totaled $33.97 before tax according to the menu, and we got charged $48, so there’s $12 on the bill still unaccounted for. We’ve eaten here before and the food is alright, nothing special, but 2 out of 4 times our orders were messed up. For this price, I’d rather go to any of the numerous other restaurants with bigger portions and, in my opinion, better food.
