We have eaten here about four or five times and it’s always good. Two of us split a wet steak burrito and it was plenty of food. Not fancy, just good Mexican food served from a window to take home or eat outside. Loved the really tall bottles of coke. Great cheap eats. If there is a huge line outside, maybe on a summer holiday, they will can overwhelmed and it can be a long wait.

Rios Mexican Grill is one of those hidden gems you’re so happy to stumble upon on a nice summer day. It’s essentially a roadside taco stand, but don’t let that fool you – the food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. It feels very local and family-run, which adds to the charm.
We visited last August during a family trip, and the fact that my mom, who usually avoids roadside food spots, was the one who recommended it says everything. We were honestly shocked (in the best way).
Ordering is simple: you place your order, get a number, and wait for your food. There are benches available for seating, though no bathrooms, so it’s good to plan accordingly.
We ordered a variety of items – tacos, burritos, quesadillas, chips with salsa, and Jarritos, and were happy with everything. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was well-prepared. I even enjoyed some leftovers the next day!
If you’re looking for delicious, no-frills Mexican food from a local spot, Rios Mexican Grill is definitely worth checking out.

Passing through and felt for Mexican. Good sign that lots a people also arrived after us. Parking lot was a little difficult to traverse. The picnic bench was a little uneven. Food however was very tasty! Ordered soft corn tacos (1 steak and 1 chipotle chicken) with everything. Both were delish! Mexican coke was also great. Pico de gallo was fresh. Felt very home-like (which is good!)

This is honestly some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had anywhere. I’ve had the tacos and they’re the absolute best. The burrito is absolutely amazing. They make chips the right way..deep-fried and the salsa is some of the best salsa I’ve ever had. it reminds me of salsa made at a place called Santiago in Chesterton. The guacamole is also some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had. I hail from Chicago and I could tell you right now that this food is better than most of the Mexican food I’ve had in the city. In fact, I would say this is my favorite Mexican food in the entire region.

Outdoor seating only. Drive up window. Dog friendly, they even offered a “pup cup” with some pieces of chicken. Loved that this was a delicious and quick option with a snack bar feel.

Been coming here for years. Really went downhill. Steak meat tasted old and dry. Horchata tasted like straight up iced water with a hint of cinnamon. It was watered down to the max! Yuk! Beans and rice were good. Waaaay overpriced for what I got. I won’t be returning again. Sorry.

I’m a regular and management needs to here this. You have some employees that are amazing with customer service and some that are the complete opposite. Most of the time the food is amazing but too often I get a nacho bowl with NO CHIPS or rice / beans when I specifically request none. I have to request none specifically because it gets added if I don’t. Consistency is key. Get all your people on the same page as to what is acceptable.
