A small restaurant tucked in near iconic Grand Coulee Dam My triple enchiladas where delightful rice and beans where plentiful my dad was enjoying his taco salad

Walked in there was only one other group that already had their food. The server looked at us, then turned around and stood there not doing anything. We sat ourselves after about 3-5 minutes. He came and told us to move to the other side. Waited 15 minutes and had to go get someone to take our order. Had to go ask for water. Food comes. Forgot our sour cream, had to go ask for silverware then had to go ask for napkins. The other party left and we waited another 15 minutes after and had to go get someone to give us our check. Then he stands their with his head tilted waiting for my husband to write in the tip… he didn’t get one. Food was great , service was crazy bad!

I love mexican food as this place was pretty decent. I enjoy trying new things. Today was a cabbage salsa which every restaurant is different. I ordered an beef enchilada and beef tostada which tasted like the meat is made in a crock pot and served. Very wet. Rice was well done actually had flavor unlike others I’ve tasted. And of course Margareta was amazing. Always enjoy cops and salsa.

I love Rio Grande. The customers service is exceptional! Very clean establishment. Updated and beautifully painted. Unlike all the other restaurants in the area Rio Grande is the only restaurant open on sunday and Monday. The owners are awesome, very attentive and friendly. They treat you like family and welcome you with open arms. They also have outdoor seating, with a view of the Dam Site. The food is so yummy! Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The prices of food are not too expensive. They serve beer and liquor drinks. I love Rio Grande! I will recommend Rio Grande Mexican restaurant to all my friends and family and I’m a local so I will recommend Rio Grande to all the tourists and Nomads that pass through town. Happy Trails to you.

Tried Rio Grande for Mothers day. It was a great experience! They have indoor and outdoor dining, clean restrooms, clean tables, very nice staff, and the pricing was very reasonable. For example, we ordered the verde enchiladas combo, taquetos combo, a shredded beef taco, and a ground beef taco with 2 ice teas and it only came to 35 dollars! They do have gluten free options as well, such as the verde enchiladas, tacos, beans, nachos, and other items. I think one if the best features was the delicious food. The flavors were on point in my opinion. The chips and salsa were fresh and had good flavor as well and the portions were big, which was good because it taste so good you tend to eat more than an average serving. The atmosphere was upbeat, traditional, and low key, we enjoyed it!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and we are so glad we did! Food was absolutely delicious and the moment we say down we got a basket of chips with salsa and some kind of a salad. I got Arroz Con Pollo and my only wish was that it had a lite bit more rice. Prices were a little higher than we are used to in Seattle area but it was a lot of food and we left stuffed….. Service was absolutely amazing – our server was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back thank you!!!

What a treat! Today is Monday, when all other restaurants were closed Rio Grande was open and ready to serve. Not only did they help with recommendations, but very attentive to a large group with kids. This was fresh food, soft tender rice, an amazing Carnitas taco plate, and fresh cabbage salsa to go with the chips. Of course the regular red salsa was with the chips and it was good too.

Great Mexican food! Not many choices for food in Grand Coulee, as places close early or are closed on a Saturday. It’s clean, friendly staff and tasty food. Try the deep fried ice cream if you have space for desert

Tough to rate as I would actually give it 3.5 stars I would say. It’s nice and the food was really good but it’s pretty much like any Mexican restaurant. Good portions but a little pricy as usual. Salsa was great though and I believe you can get to go orders of that and chips. Service was a little slow as there wasn’t that many people in there and it took awhile each time for the waiter to get to us. Overall not bad if you are looking for Mexican food.
