Atmosphere comfortable and clean. Service was quick. Ordered chicken soup, carnitas tacos. The chicken soup was outrageously flavorful. Best I’ve had an any Mexican restaurant. Serving is plentiful. Carnitas tacos also flavorful. I think they came with corn tortillas we would prefer flour.

We visited on Cinco de Mayo and had a really nice lunch. The restaurant was bustling with staff adjusting and arranging decorations for their 5pm Party. There was excitement in the air. 🙂 I was excited to see hard shell tacos on the menu, and as we do with all new restaurants, we ordered a little bit of several things to taste – knowing the remainder will be dinner. I had the tacos, the shells were hard, but they weren’t deep fried, and the ground beef was a little bland. I added salsa and they were better, but not great.
I also ordered a combo with 3 items – a cheese enchilada (a little sweet?), and 2 shredded beef tamales. The tamales were the star of the show for me! Rice (mine was overcooked, and my husband’s were perfect! – not sure how?), the beans with cheese (and added salsa) were really good.
Hubby had the 3 combo as well. Chinichanga, Quesadilla, and Chalupa – all shredded beef. Surprisingly, it was the quesadilla that made his lunch delicious, big chunks of flavorful, tender beef!
Yes, the food was good. But the service was exceptional. Was it because it was a holiday? Maybe. But everyone was so happy. I’m not sure when we’ll be back, but I’ll put it on my calendar for May 5 next year. Here’s to Tamales and quesadillas!!

I visited El Río Chico and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and affordable. I ordered a fajita taco salad and really enjoyed it. The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant had upbeat music that made the atmosphere lively. The place feels casual and welcoming. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good Mexican food in the area.

This place was not good at all everything that we got was mush! Chicken fajita salad was not at all like it list in the menu. All the sides were in a separate dish. The lettuce was mushy. The chicken was just small shreds. The chicken quesadilla was mushy and watery really inferior Mexican food would not recommend another thing. The bathrooms were the grossest bathrooms I’ve ever seen the toilet seats were all worn out with stains all over them and they were plastic cushions. They also do not answer the phone when trying to place a takeout order.

The first thing I have to say is that this restaurant is spotlessly clean.
Large dining room, large bar, cordial and family atmosphere.
The staff is friendly and they do a good job and the menu is very very extensive.
I would like to point out that their food is not excessively salty, like in other Mexican restaurants we have been to, I like that, and of course the dishes are large. We ordered the fajita for two and it was too much, four people could eat perfectly…it was delicious.
There is also a small terrace.
We went on Sunday for dinner and we didn’t have to wait, everything was correct and we were very satisfied.
I definitely recommend it.

We really wanted to love it as it’s close by and liked the atmosphere and the salsa was really good…., but the 2 things we ordered (very different-seafood and chicken/“chorizo”) didn’t taste quite right…., in addition to lack of cheese that was supposed to “smother” what we had. The beans (with hardly any cheese on top) weren’t very good and the rice was a little hard. The guacamole had an unfamiliar taste to it as well. Our server was ok…., but took 5-10 minutes to come to our table initially, gave no apology for our wait and then disappeared for a while…. We both felt a little off after the meal and decided we wouldn’t go back.

This place could be great if the food was any good. Unfortunately, it is TERRIBLE. Worst taco I ever ate. Zero flavor. Chip tasted like they were fried in stale oil. Service was very nice and decor is decent.

Okay so on Mondays we try different restaurants. This by far tops our Mexican ones. Food, and service was Superb. Will definitely eat here again and again. I had the shrimp fajita burrito and my wife had the shredded chicken burrito deluxe. Also was informed that this is the lunch size, that the dinner size is larger WOW
